He had one game where he orchestrated a win over barcalona at like age 19. This in February of 2011, which was over FIVE years ago, and the lad has made no progress since, arguably has gone backwards. He's played like 3 games a season for the last couple of seasons as well.
I mean, the obvious answer is deluded arsenal fans. But surely if they've followed the team in any coherent way they've seen first hand how mediocre and injury prone he is?
In which case, if not it's just plain ignorance on what any team around their own is doing. Arsenal aren't a bad team by any stretch, but their success is in no way due to Jack Wilshere. At the same time Welbeck gets heaps of shit even though he does about 10 times more for the club.
