Why are female commentators a thing? Not only do they not know shit about sports, they lack the passion for them that is inherent in men. They talk about sports like they're talking about shoes. I dont really have a problem with them doing highlights though, they're just reading from a script basically so it can't really go wrong and it would get old if it was men all the time

I don't really care who does the play-by-play call of a live game as long as they are positive, knowledgeable and as unobtrusive as possible

When they are sideline or pit reporters, I don't have a problem with them. Erin Andrews and the chick who is one of the NASCAR pit reporters (can't remember her name) are breddy gud actually. They don't have screechy harpy voices and only talk enough to get the players/drivers to say something interesting. EA has given some legendary interviews. The NASCAR chick has been in the middle of some driver fights and held her own about as well as any other broadcast person would. The fact that they aren't hard on the eyes without being some beauty queen doesn't hurt either.
But when they are at the commentary desk, or god forbid in the booth, good lord are they awful. Fox has had this chick in the "Hollywood Hotel" the past few races and she is just the worst. She doesn't sound like she knows racing at all, she's just some broadcasting major who gives "questions" to the "experts" in some cutesy poo manner. It's like nails on a chalkboard.
