I think Bernie said it was safe actually, just not in a very clear cut way.
They are putting in a new chicane for just the motorbikes at Curva Grande and Bernie was getting pissed that Monza was spending money to secure an FIM license and not spending it on the GP.
Given that Monza was stripped of an FIM license 3 years ago and have been desperately trying to get it back so they can host motorcycling again it is a hugely dick move from Bernie.

help me lads
So I watched this shitty Finnish reality TV show with a bunch of famous athletes talking about their careers and Mika Häkkinen was one of them. Learned almost nothing new about him but there were a few funny or interesting tidbits about his career that I hadn't heard before
>When he outqualified Senna in the McLaren in 93, Senna asked him how he drove a specific corner, to which Mika responded "with big balls" which resulted in Senna going on a "what the fuck did you just say about me you little bitch" rant, listing his achievements and pole position and win stats, losing his temper completely lol
>Mika cried to Ron Dennis in 2001, backstage at some gala, about how he couldn't take the frustration and disappointment of McLaren failing all the time. Basically cried and rage quit because the car wasn't reliable and he couldn't deal with it anymore lol. He quit F1 basically because McLaren a shit
>Couldn't move half his face for a long time after his accident
>He claims to have been celibate for a period of time in hopes of it improving his racing. He said he did it for a YEAR and then concluded it didn't work really.
>Mika Häkkinen is almost certainly autistic in the non-meme way. He is a very nice but strange person even in a Finnish context
>>67461758
he was in f3 12 years ago. fucking kek.
Piquet F1 comeback when?
Its not even THAT crazy of an idea if you think about it, he is barely the same driver as he was back then. Shown to be a much better driver than previously thought it FE and other stuff. Not that it will ever happen lol but it would be incredible if he went through the feeder series route for a second time just for shits and gigs
>>67461998
>He quit F1 basically because McLaren a shit
Makes me wonder. They had some shitty periods, but were still always considered a top team, probably because they always got back to the top. in a few years.
How long can the extremely shitty streak they have now continue before they aren't considered a top team anymore and become some sort of late '00 Williams, I guess..
>Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has clarified that Max Verstappen and Daniil Kvyat will use each other's tyre compound selections up to the Austrian Grand Prix, after their in-season seat swap.
>inb4 they both only pick mediums to fuck each other
>>67462200
McLaren have a works deal with Honda, so they at least have the potential to become a top team once the engine issues are fixed. Also, they still have money.
Williams had money troubles and ever since BMW dumped them they didn't have a works deal either.
Also, as long as McLaren has Alonso and/or Button, they will be considered a top team.

Ferrari should be thinking about buying out Ricciardo this hear
>Has an Italian background, he is the closest thing to a potential Italian grandprix winner, which should increase F1 viewership in Italy.
>We are nearing the end of the current regulations, Raikenon is old and should retire within the next 2 years.
>Would have the potential to be the greatest team battle of the decade, and if a vettel/Ricciardo happens, Ferrari will have more tv coverage since most F1 pairings has a dominant first driver, and the team battle are predictable, with Vettel and ricciardo it would be equals battling it out, hence more tv coverage and revenue.

>Red Bull will not let him go easy (as they do not have a straight replacement for him now)
>Kimi is literally the most popular driver and the tifosi love him even though he is choke central who peaked a decade ago
>Ricky has a good chance of being matched or outpaced by Max, which would considerably lower his "stock"/worth
>Vettel probably doesn't actually want him as a teammate and probably has considerable influence over these sorts of matters at Ferrari, considering how he is the goldenboy Schumi 2.0
>Ferrari probably don't actually want two equally good drivers. They want a great driver and a very good driver, but not two of the exact same caliber. Refer to: their driver lineups in the past 2 decades
As a driver, he is probably the best option for Ferrari honestly but it is looking much more likely that they will retain Kimi because why not, and Kimi seems to be doing a bit better than before.

Nice quads. Look for brake markers. (Hint:signage above the track, any difference in curbing, etc.) Those can be visual aids to you for having references for braking. Finally not really the most useful thing for a flash game but this pic might give some insight into a good line around the track.

You know its interesting. He was a horrid driver for consistency and concentration but apparently he was a good tester/data collector. Given they go to Spain for pre-season testing I think that may have had something to do with his win there. Now that I went super autismo he actually lead one of the days of pre-season testing that year in Spain. Perhaps the weather conditions were similar enough that they just transferred over the data and setup from February to May.

You would think. Its all about exit speed. So if compromising on entrance speed gives you a ton more on the exit then do it. I went to Skip Barber Racing School (Pic Related) a little over a year ago now and that was one of the points they drilled into us.

>>67478582
>fucked Schumi in the ass when Merc was shit.
In 2012, Schumi matched him 10-10 in quali, being on average 0.12 seconds quicker, beat him 7-1 in 2 car finishes, and outscored him 43-23 once Merc got their reliability sorted (after the 7th race of a 20 race season).
He also narrowly lost out in 2011 (12-13 points,IIRC), in spite of having 5 retirements to Rosberg's 2.
>>67478627
>Nico Rosberg 93 points

SIDF please go
>>67478610
It (the throttle point) varies with the line you take heading into (and therefore out of) the corner, which in turn is dictated by 3 things - the angle of the corner, what is immediately following the corner, and what immediately preceded it.
>>67478664
I thought the throttle point was always at the halfway point and I don't see a lot of merit in making the corner shorter but sharper for yourself.
This is why I will never be an F1 driver.
>>67478610
Any corner that dumps you onto a very long straight is usually considered...ahh fuck it I am lazy I'm just gonna do a dump.

First 7 races - Rosberg 70, Schumacher 2
No. of races finished by Rosberg -7
Schumacher -2
Australia - Schu retired out of 3rd, would have likely finished 5th, and pushed Rosberg down the finishing order
Malaysia - Schu finished 10th, after being spun by Grosjean while in 3rd in the wet. Sent to the back of the pack, he made it back to 10th, beating Rosberg
China - Rosberg had this one on pace, but MSC was comfortably second quickest in the race before a botched pit stop took him out.
Bahrain - Qualified 22nd due to DRS failure and gearbox penalty, while Rosberg was 5th. At the end of the race, Rosberg 5th, MSC 10th
Spain - Schumacher had a crash due to Senna moving in the braking zone (I'd call that 50-50), while on a strategy that would have beaten Rosberg's.
Monaco - Shit penalty cost him pole and likely win, and Grosjean cost him a race finish.
Canada - Qualified 9th because team didn't send him out in time.in Q3, retired from race due to DRS failures.
An often repeated stat from that year was that had MSC not had.those mechanical issues, he'd be leading the championship at Canada.
This was a 43 year old vs a 26 year old

If you can find torrents of Channel 4 (from the UK) coverage go for that. C4 only does 9 of the 21 grands prix, but they are doing all of the sessions live from this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.
SkyF1 does commercial-free broadcasts in HD for all 21 races and someone always uploads torrents of the sessions after they air. Only bad part about SkyF1 is that their play-by-play commentator is awful.

quick resume of each scuderia:
ferrari: oldest and most prestigious. always been a contender, although nowadays always stuck in second place. drivers are a german guy who is struggling to show he isn't a car babby and an autistic finn (both former world champions)
mercedes: current champions and the team is a gap ahead of everybody else. drivers are a black guy (current world champion) and the current points leader, son of a former world champion.
red bull: used to be the dominant force, won 4 championships in a row with the now-in-ferrari german guy. now fighting for third place. drivers are a cheeky australian bully and a cocky dutch teen, son of a driver who was a literally who. recently they had an autistic russian guy but he spilled the spaghetti and was relegated.
williams: been in F1 since the 70s. never been a top tier team nor the financially strongest but they won some championships. they were shit a couple of years ago but now bounce back as the third power. the founder is now paraplegic so his milf daughter runs the business. drivers are a brazilian who got cucked out of the WDC in 2008 and a young finn which is reckless but also highly autistic.
toro rosso: red bull's young driver academy, young talents either get a red bull seat from here or they get lost in oblivion. drivers are a spaniard who is the son of a great Rally driver, and the russian dude who raced for red bull but got demoted back to the academy.
force india: a rich indian guy built his own f1 team, although he's now hiding because the police is looking for him. drivers are low-profile german dude and a mexican driver that wants to punch above his weight
sauber: been in the game since the 90s, always a "meh" scuderia. now being headed by an indian women who is stuggling finnancially to pay for his employees, the whole team is in risk of disappearing. drivers are a swede and a brazilian

haas f1: american newcomer. owner is a nascar guy that wanted to try F1. they been doing pretty good, getting points and not fucking it up. drivers are a capable frenchman and a mexican with terrible luck.
renault: recently got back into the game, after getting rebranded. right now doing not terribly bad. they won two championships back to back in 2005 and 06. drivers are a dane and a brit
mclaren: classic team, been in the business for a long time, won many championships. right now they are kek material, a shade of what they have been, although they are always stating they will be better next year. drivers are both ex world champions, one a delusional spaniard who believes they will be a good team again, and the other a brit that knows he will never win anything again, so he just chills and doesn't complain.
manor: low tier team, been in debt for a really long time, they scored points ONCE in their history, but they said they have some upgrades for Barcelona. drivers are a young black german and an indonesian guy who promised money but didn't get it, so probably will get booted ASAP.
Barcelona race will be pretty good to see if the low tier teams can finally catch up.

Williams was good in 95, but both Benetton and Schumi were too good. And 96 he would have won, no doubt about that (Ferrari was still shit, Mclaren was shit, Benetton was shit). And pretty sure he would have retired after that.
Damon Hill would be top of the Eternal No. 2 list, Jacques Villeneuve would have been probably just meh. We would see him in the races talking shit about the FIA and Bernie, interviewing in the podium of Interlagos, Prost would have the respect he deserves, Schumi would have only been a 6 time WC and aeroscreen/halo wouldn't happen.

What about '97? As for '94, of course Schumi did have that massive head start but don't forget Senna got pole at every race he contested in '94, so clearly he was up to speed in the car. Schumi probably wouldn't have been exempt from 4 races either though. It would have been a classic season. In '95 I think it would have been much more closely contested as well since Hill had at least 3-4 retirements due to mistakes he made. I'd probably still give '95 to Schumi though, you're right.

I'll have you finished I know top of my field in the Formula 3, and I've been raced in numerous Formula 1secret involvements, and I have killed over 61 positions. I am a trained gorilla. In races, I'm the blocking racer in the entire Brazilian Motorsport tops. You are targeting me but I'm just another nothing. I will fuck you with precision the wipes which has never been liked before on this scene. Earth, fuck my marking words. You can get away with thinking that shit over me to the team radio? Fuck again, thinker. As we spy I am networking my secret speaking across the Dennis Project and your grid is being prepared right now so you better storm the maggots. The wipes that storms out of the little pathetic thing. Life you call yours? Your fucking dead kids. I can be any time. I can weigh you in over seven hundred kills, and that's my bear hands. Not only am I extensively accessed by trains, but I have no arms for combating the entire arsenal FIA, and I will use it to wipe your miserable ass. You shit the faceoff of the continent. If you only could have qualified what unholy cleverness your little "retribution" was about. To bring down upon you, maybe you would have fucked your tongue. But you wouldn't, you shouldn't, and now you're holding the pay, you goddamn idiot. I will drown in shit fury. Sincerely, your dead fucking kiddo.

I dunno, man, but if the doctor says it can have an effect, I'd rather not risk it.
Apparently, the holes are a result of my eyeball elongating along one axis more than the other, during my growing years. So taking growth supplements may trigger that sort of thing and lead to newer holes in an already weakened retina.

Of course Senna would have won. He would have won 94, 96, 97. Think about the drivers who won those years. I don't know about 95 as it seems quite dominant for Schumi. But think about the drivers who won in those Williams. Damon Hill was competitive and almost won in 94. He eventually won, as did fucking VILLENEUVE. Senna would have destroyed these people as teammates.
Also if you really want to get crazy, Senna would have been 40 in 2000. Who's not to say he wouldn't have made a return to McLaren and won in 1998 and 1999? Of course this is pure speculation but its not an impossibility.
Same with Schumi. If he didn't retire, he would have dominated 2007 as Kimi barely even managed the title. He would have also won 2008 because if Massa could do it (pretty much) then even an aging Schumi could surely. Who knows about 2009 but if he didn't retire at all, I'm sure he probably could have given Vettel and others a run for their money in 2010 and 2012. AND if he didn't retire the second time he perhaps could have gotten another WDC or two or three with the Merc, depending on how beta Nico would be against him. Also speculation but it's really not that far off to think Schumi could have been 9-10 times champion. Lets not forget that he probably would have won 1999 had he not missed half the season as well.

I'm so jealous of people who live in areas where they can properly compete in karting or something similar. I don't even live in an area where I could try oval racing, and if I wanted to kart I would have to go across country or up north to Canada. My only option would be buying a spec car and racing it in a league in Connecticut or New Hampshire but I obviously don't have the money or resources to do that.

>hill almost won in 1994
Schumacher won eight races and was second twice - he was leading in Spain, but his car got stuck on 5th gear and he had to drive 40 laps and have a pit stop with that one gear, still finished second. Other races:
>great britain: second (disqualified)
>germany: retired from the lead due to engine failure
>belgium: won (disqualified)
>italy: race ban
>portugal: race ban
>australia: crashed with hill while leading
He got a 2 race ban and was disqualified twice and he still won the title. Let's face it, he absolutely fucking raped Hill/Williams and they wouldn't have been able to challenge him without FIA. Hill won all the four races where Schumacher was disqualified/banned and without those victories, he would have been a distant second.
Here are corrected standings for 1994:
Schumacher 132
Hill 75
>>67508578
True, but put Senna in place of Damon Hill and maybe it wouldn't have been quite so dominant. I'm not saying Schumi isn't a great driver, I'm saying that Hill most likely isn't. And the same FIA defense force antics could have been done to benefit Senna as well, it's not like he was above such things.
and don't forget, senna was literally god at could outperform any car ;) literally performing on a level higher than the car because he was le goat quali gay man ;))

>hassle when going out, can't smoke in bars, have to go to DESIGNATED smoking zones or outside
>is not particularly cool after you're 18 and older
>increased stigma etc
Having smoked 500-1000 cigarettes in my life (without ever being addicted) I have to say its a retarded thing to make into a habit. Maybe if you're in Asia and the air kills you anyway and the pack is like 50 cents then yea sure but other than that it's just not worth it
which is why I'm surprised Tobacco ad money is still such a desireable thing
>>67509876
Sainz qualified 5th in Spain last year in a Toro Rosso which wasn't that great. This years car is a lot better and based on the test results, very much suited towards a track like this, whereas Red Bull seems to struggle. I wouldn't be that surprised to see at least on Toro Rosso ahead of the Red Bulls. Red Bull haven't really done THAT much in season development as far as I know, at least not so much that their expectations on pace at Barcelona should be too different from what it was during testing
but it's f1 and a meme sport so whatever, mad amx on pole

skid-plate was too worn
While the initial offense in Britain is a mundane one at best, ignoring the black flag is pretty much a fatal error. Spa was unfortunate as the skid-plates had only been around for 2 races before hand, but those are the rules, Panis was also disqualified at Portugal for the same infringement.
I hope the form a blood pact and bully the fuck out of the field

>>67510970
Yes, they were put into affect after Senna's accident at Imola, where the ride height and possibility of bottoming out were considered potential contributors. They were made of wood so if the car ran too low they would wear out, if there was too much wear measured by the end of the race then the car would have been running too low.
