He decided it was a good idea to stack the offense and almost completely ignore the defense. Nah there's no fucking way. Lynch has almost no experience playing under center. He's got way too much on his plate to even think about winning the starting job. Meanwhile Sanchez has been in Denver working out with the other first teamers for two months already. It's a great sign if Lynch somehow does end up the starter, but I'd be shocked if that happens.

The Iggles situation is totally different from the Broncos. They're only saying that because the guy they just gave $35 million is being a grade-A pussy. The Broncos are just calling it a competition because they want to make Sanchez earn the job (or at least feel like he has). A lot of the media in Denver thinks they'll even bring in a guy like Yates just to compete with Sanchez.
Even with a mediocre QB like Sanchez, the Broncos can win another Owl. It's way too risky to throw a rookie into the fire like that. You're forgetting that Kubiak is the ultimate old-school, conservative coach.
