Another thing about Wenger that I just realised the other day.
Fabregas said Wenger is the best manager he's played under because "he gave me a real chance to show what I can do". When you hear former players praise Wenger it seems like they all say that. They don't say Wenger helped them improve or he taught them a lot, just that he gave them a chance.
And when you look at it it's not surprising they say this because Wenger doesn't teach our players anything except to pass sideways more and shoot less. Players who come up under Wenger don't add more to their game or change the way they play for the better. They play the same way and it works out for world-class young talents like Cole, Cesc and Henry. But for most young players they just stay shit and maybe have a good period of form.
Wenger chooses to stick with some like Walcott, Ramsey and Ox, more than others like Denilson and Vela even though they're the same.
Chambers is now one of those players and Iwobi is up next.
