If youre inviting someone to your house to watch a game, you watch the game. You dont listen to music while the game is muted. You didnt invite the person over to listen to music. Cmon bro. It's fine for me if its more of a party. A lot of times if there's girls over who aren't huge sports fans music makes them less likely to complain and more likely to grind on me. Closed captioning is a must though.

If it's just me going over to a friend's to watch the game or if there's a rivalry or playoff game I really care about then I'll be that guy, and just turn the music off.

This is only acceptable if your watching the White Sox and Hawk Harrelson is calling the game.
