The whole key is to be able to absorb information about what they are telling you to do and at the same time being able to think for yourself too. Definitely listen to your train how to throw the hook, the right hand, the jab, the uppercuts for a basis. You can't make up the basis. Also never ever start going speedy when you're at the beginning. Take your punches slowly, but take them correctly. Take that punch 10 times slower if you need to do but make sure the technique is good (throw a hand? defend with the other never forget for example, the leg movement, the way your hips move, lowered body etc)

also watch Hopkins' "perfect execution", it's one of the absolutely best guides you can find if you at least covered the base. It won't particularly show you how to move your leg correctly, how to throw the punch technically right, but it will help you think when you throw a punch. you can practice alone, but you define to refine your technique. Yes, of course you can practice punches, it's not as hard as some people might think. Hip movement, leg movement, timing, speed and of course natural talent do the job here. That's not the hard part. The hard part is learning the technique correctly, going through experiences (sparring sessions), it' a whole different game then. You get hit the first time with a decent cross you forget what was your plan at that point. The hard part is adjusting, being able to throw combinations in ring, doing the footwork correctly, reading the movements of your opponent and all that fine stuff.
However not to make it sound too shitty, you can still practice combinations at home to the point where it becomes an automatism, so it becomes easier for you to follow up a bunch with another or a correct dodge if you do it often at home.
But I go to sleep now. And the other Brit anon is right - you're getting way ahead of yourself with combos. Most likely if you try those in your first year or so you'll fail badly. You throw the first punch - your opponent reacts, punches you back - there's your combo.
