To give you a strategy we have to know your personnel you fucker
There are two techniques that all basketball strategy is based around. One is the "pick n roll" and the other is called "posting up".
In the pick and roll someone on your team sets a pick for the ball handler (meaning he stands next to the defender like a wall) so that the ball handler can go around ("roll") the defenders to the basket. The defense has the option of switching defenders or scrambling to double the guy coming towards the basket. In the confusion someone on the team gets open and the basketball is passed to them for an open look.
The other strategy is called "posting up" which is what a lot of oldfags in the 90's did back in the day. Basically you just give the ball to the biggest dude on your squad and let him go BBQ chicken on the other guy's big dude. Sometimes he gets double teamed, so he passes to the open guy on the wing.
These are the big two strategies in basketball. Every strategy is based around using these two techniques to get open looks at the basket

I know it's mostly a meme but lots of people genuinely hate Steph for chucking 3s. If you watch him off the ball, he works his ass off running his opponent ragged. His fitness level is insane and nobody works harder getting an open look.
