Read about preseason games, get an idea about what teams are strong and what teams are shit, look for mutuals, look for bookies mispricing games like a weak team favs against a strong team, look for rumours/news about teams having lots of injuries/suspensions to key players that will make them worse than they have been in previous games, look for a team running out of money and having to play their U15 team + coaches, look for teams getting a cash injection and being able to sign really good players making them better than expected, look for a team who cant get a GK for an away game and have to play a midfielder in goals, etc.
