Well bigger transfer fees and wages will make it more likely for a player to get a WP on appeal as detailed in the part about the points system but it is still not a certainty.
Dunno how that points system for appeals works in FM though, might be if they score above a certain amount of points that they definitely win the appeal or it gives them a higher chance of winning the appeal but ultimately just does a virtual coinflip to decide.

I have more of a problem with SI using serbian/croatian/bosnian names and surnames for Slovenia. Not that it's unrealistic, as we have a lot of diaspora from those countries but then you get fucking retarded agglomeration of names that never happen in real life.
Like, for example, Nemanja Oblak or Janez Petrović. The first is a Serbian name that you'll never find a Slovenian having and the Surname is Slovenian as fuck. The second is a stereotypical Slovenian name (so much so that Slovenes are sometimes called "Janezi" in ex-yu and it's out dated as fuck as well) but with an ex-yu surname.
Get what I mean? It's like having a Mohammed Johnson.

I feel bad for disagreeing with you because we are now talking on a sensible level and it's kind of the perfect point to end the discussion, but i'd say that the right guy is much more of a supplementary player who elevates the team without being a key player to either defensive or offensive actions. (though both will very likely turn into key players as their attributes develop) He's, to me, a player who makes the team better indirectly and is both technically and physically on a level that is acceptable for a CL team.

I'm coaching NSI (Faroe Island) since 5 years ingame. So far I've won 3 championship, and 4 national cups, and we are probably going to win the league for the next 3 or 4 years, because we have a lot of money and some quality regens (for a Faroese team).
But the farthest I've ever been in European competition is a second round of the qualifications in CL.
