He was. Now he isn't. Bale last season wasn't really good and the first half of this one he was injured meanwhile Neymar played the best football of his career. To be fair, right now Bale and Benzema are the ones really pulling the weight in Real's attack. Ronaldo gets to score, but he is mostly at the play's end, while Benz and Bale are the ones getting the ball into dangerous positions.
Watch both play and you'll realise Neymar is way better
