I was actually surprised to see them actually go on a winning streak after that and actually put up a challenge against a Jordan lynch led niu team that same season. Well they lost, but it helped me turn into what is normally a bullshit filler game into a lot of fun.
I also root for Blackpool fc because they won me many leagues and CLs in FTS

I like sports and have played them my whole life. I just think that role-playing or deriving enjoyment from them based on a specific team is a little childish.
For example, when I was a kid I played baseball with an MLB player's son. I rooted for his team until he retired, but once he did the team was composed of people who I have no relationship with whatsoever. Why should I care about the team anymore? I just want to watch good baseball, and I don't discriminate on what qualifies as good baseball based on the team's emblem.
People will root for the same team for so long that it is composed of entirely different players. Does that really make any sense to you?

More exciting when they win, fun to talk about with other fans, games which are close are even better, you get to go to their games, etc. etc.
Even if it's a less successful team, it makes it even better when they get success. Genuine, life-long Leicester fans are on cloud nine right now. Something I hope to experience at some point.
If you can afford it and have a local team, I'd suggest going to one of their games. You'll get swept up in the atmosphere and I guarantee you'll come out properly supporting them, win or lose.
