DALLAS—Praising the organization for their refusal to turn their backs on those with a troubled past, the ACLU honored the Dallas Cowboys Wednesday for their ongoing efforts to reintegrate criminals back into the NFL. “We would like to recognize the Dallas Cowboys for their long history of providing an avenue to ex-convicts who are simply seeking a second chance at life as a professional football player,” said ACLU spokesman Carl Holmes, adding that, for over three decades, the team has helped those facing the stigma and legal constraints of a recent felony conviction find paying work as linebackers, offensive linemen, and wide receivers. “Too often, these men have been abandoned by society and left with nowhere to turn, but Jerry Jones and his organization have shown they are willing to take the lead and be that beacon of hope for them. The Cowboys have never been afraid to help those with a criminal history move on from their past mistakes and get back onto the field, and that is truly something special.” Holmes added that, without a group like the Cowboys, it is likely that many of the convicted felons would tragically end up either back in prison, dead, or on the Oakland Raiders.

The Cowboys haven't made a bad draft choice in a while and have hit more in the draft and FA than most teams in the last 3-4 years and the Cardinals have went from nothing to a defensive powerhouse that can be an offensive powerhouse with the right QB in less than 5 years. I barely watched games last year because I now live out of network, but I know Decker/Marshall each missed at least 1 game, and the passing game was miserable each time. We need more depth at WR. All the best passing offenses have like 3/4 good WRs anyway.
>>66806453
I think what everyone is getting at when they talk about Frederick is that they could have gotten him in the second or even the third since no team had him that high on their draft boards. You would never see an Ozzie Newsome or a Ted Thompson reach like that

>>66806730
Fredrick wouldn't have been there during the Cowboys pick in the second round. That's why they picked him in the first. It might be considered a reach but in hindsight it doesn't matter. Cowboys have Continued to prove they are a savvy at the draft

Dallas needed a center real bad that year. After Gurode got old it was a rotating shitpile week after week. Frederick came in and we finally started to have a decent line again.
Maybe we could have used the Escobar pick on Frederick (which is the pick you should be hammering Dallas for). Then we wouldn't have missed out on standout players with the 28th pick such as:

>>66805951
The cowboys are done if they don't draft a QB. On the rare chance that Romo makes it an entire season he still is not good enough to win shit. Maybe they win one playoff game rigged by the refs.

Cowboy's haven't made it out of the divisional playoffs since 1995. Legit one and day for 21 years. I don't care if every draft pick they take is great. it's been two decades since they've won anything of importance. At least get to a conference champion for christ sake.

I'm tempted to make RG3 jokes right now, but I actually want to him do well in Cleveland, so I'll leave this to someone else.
holy fuck The Rams just go Hershcel Walker trade level picks
thats a future dynasty coming in with a young qb and a good RB
>>66814466
I actually like this move for the rams if they take Goff
Goff will be a good efficient passer in the NFL
The rams have a good offense going with gurley and tavon with their heavy run and play action attack using end arounds options stretchs and inside outside zones and counters
Goff being accurate will win them games
>>66814490
This, Manziel is an irredeemable faggot
RG3 was fucked over by the redskins and deserves better
Holy shit i'm so relieved now.
Turns out giving up that 2nd rounder for Bradford ended up being a good thing.
Now they can focus or whether to pick Elliott or Hargreaves.
>>66814497
>Herschel walker

Which they already made the rg3 trade from the other side but Goff wouldn't be a meme qb

Much D I C K
Sorry Jason Peters but you might have to be traded
I don't know man.. Are Goff and Wentz really worth all those picks? I mean, yeah, they have potential but they're not coming out as Luck or Newton.
>Trading your 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks this year and your 1st and 3rd round picks next year for Carson Wentz or Jared Goff
LGTSS nice and early
>Rams
Great trade for both teams. Rams get a shot at a franchise QB. He might not pan out but this team has a lot of talent and it's their only chance to jump out of that QB purgatory. Meanwhile the Titans have the QB and not the talent around him, good chance to build their roster.
The Rams are fucking retarded. Jeff Fisher is a fucking moron.
I seriously do not understand this team.
>>66814583
But there isn't a Luck or Newton this year. What are the Rams supposed to do, accept another year of being the spooky 7-9 team? This is their best chance of shooting out of that mediocrity.
>goff is another bust
>rams dicked the skins and now are getting dicked
well at least Fisher is getting fire this time
>>66814601
Youre a brit so ill let your idiocy pass. Goff is the 2nd best prospect since Luck (andrew luck plays for the colts) and Winston (Jameis Winston plays for the Buccaneers). Furthermore, and more importantly for the Rams' owner, Goff is a local hero, so he will be able to draw fans in an overall apathetic football market.
>>66814639
You act like the Rams wouldn't have lost that trade if RG3 hadn't torn his ACL. He had one of the best rookie QB seasons ever, and the Rams took a load of mediocre players with the picks.
>>66814639
Except Goff isn't a meme qb

>Goff is the 2nd best prospect since Luck (andrew luck plays for the colts) and Winston (Jameis Winston plays for the Buccaneers)

I don't like this mentality. If that QB busts, they will be shit for much longer with all those traded early picks.
They should just keep building this team with blue-chips in all positions like Broncos where could even Tebow literally win a SB50.
>>66814662
>Goff is the 2nd best prospect since Luck
He's so good he's not even considered the best QB in this draft. The britbong knows more than you faggot.
the best part is the browns get indirectly cucked from this

>>66814823
the fact that the rams jumped all the way to one is pretty evident that they believed the browns we're going to take somebody
>>66814750
The Broncos drafted well sure, but they also did very well in free agency. Why? Because people wanted to come and win a ring with Peyton Manning. Maybe being in LA might attract some free agents but I doubt it, nobody chooses to come to Jeff fisher and the Rams. Unless you have a literally all time great defense, you need a decent QB to win the super bowl. This is the Rams best chance at that.
>>66814820

>>66814806
>people still think the RG3 trade was a bad idea

>>66814823
Chargers could still pick Ramsey at 3
Tunsil - SD makes too much sense at this point though
>>66814832
Wentz probably needs a year to learn and I don't think Fisher will keep his job if Foles/Keenum plays 16 games
>>66814820
Have to trade JT for a good right tackle first. I was thinking of Lane Johnson, but Philly has a stud LT of their own.
>>66814792
Good. The Browns taking another QB would have been retarded. They're shit everywhere, don't throw another QB on the fire. The Rams actually are a half decent team when they want to be. A QB could make them a wildcard team
holy shit i just realized, Carson Wentz has to go from playing in Div-III to starting in fucking LA.
>>66814856
People said that about Bortles, and then you look at guys like Mallett and Osweiler, who had years on the bench behind a hall of famer.
There is literally no correlation between sitting and being a better QB
>>66814856
While the Chargers OL is lacking, severely, Ramsey is the better option.
They can take a C in the 2nd which would be a better choice than getting a tackle.
>>66814892
I laugh my ass off at Britbongs talking football.

>>66814837

>>66814852
Rams got Janoris Jenkins, Ogletree and Brockers from that trade
not Pro Bowl caliber (especially considering that Janoris was wildly inconsistent before his last 2 seasons with the Rams) but still decent
but considering the busts and washouts they picked -- Pead, Bailey (RIP), possibly Greg Robinson (I'm willing to give him one more season), it's still a trade nobody really won in my eyes so you have me there
>Rasm
>>66814856
>>66814910
OL is a need, but interior play, especially at center, was a lot worse than tackle
>>66814884
He played in Div1 FCS, lad.
>>66814961
OL is a need, but you don't draft need.
Like I said -- and you would agree -- Center is far more important to fix than tackle.
Ramsey or Buckner are the way to go in the 1st.
Nick Martin would be good in the 2nd, if he's there.

>>66815095
They need Tunsil more desu he would solidify that O line and give you guys a real shot at the division this year
Rivers is turning 35 this year investing in the offence makes more sense but Ramsey would be a great pick too if the Browns don't take him

But, like I said, EVERY player has the potential to get more money IF THEY PLAY WELL.

I hope there's another front office fill of retards that are willing to trade everything away for #2.
>>66815953
Funny enough it says "that's your man starting from today" in Swedish.
Time for another 6-10 season!
>>66815962
There is..but the browns already have the second overall pick.
>>66815959
real brothers > played at the same college
although the memes would be real if you guys traded for myles jack
>>66815962
>trading with the Browns
doesn't seem possible to lose in that scenario
>inb4 the rams don't draft a QB
>>66815070
>another year of two qbs in the first two picks is actually happening
>>66816027
>Tunsil still goes #1 overall
seeing as Fisher spent 5 picks on OTs in the draft last year he'd be crazy enough to do it
>>66805556
>Patriots
Of course
>Broncos
They should've won more championships with that roster. No.
>Cardinals
Right now, yes.
>Cowboys
>
>Seattle
Yes.
Add Ravens and maybe Steelers.
>the last game of LA rams preseason will be @ Vikings in new stadium
Thankfully no Vikings starters will play which the rams can deliberately injure.
>With the first pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select...
>>66815962
the browns tried to but the team with the #2 overall was busy
>>66815070
except you fucking up australia.
LA wants to have a romantic team. New year, new QB (one from Cali, no less).
also,
>2 QBs go first
other than that solid prediction
>>66803748
>Packers as the first seed.
>Falcons doing anything of value.
>>66815903
>>66815912
It has the potential to pay off. They figure they're a good QB away from being a contender in the next couple years. However, if they pick Wentz over Goff, then it's officially full retard
>>66815070
Too bad Goff goes to the Rams sheepfucker
>>66816066
traded to the vikings who draft leonard fournette
>>66816066
Whoever they don't like, but feel they should draft and go full hardass on him.
>>66816053
then Tunsil ends up being the GOAT o-lineman and the rams win multiple owls with Foles at the helm.
all 32 teams end up moving to LA and nobody has any issues with it
>>66816117
they really aren't a qb away from being a contender though
this is just a meme spouted by people who have never watched the rams play
>>66816027
THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN
>>66816066
If RG3 goes back to sucking dick: Deshaun watson, quarterback, Clemson
If he returns to his rookie form: Leonard Fournette, halfback, Louisiana State University
>>66816152
>they really aren't a qb away from being a contender though
Like I said THEY FIGURE they're a qb away from being a contender
>>66816162
whoah whoah whoah
this is the browns here
they aren't that smart
>>66816162
if rg3 returns to rookie form the browns aren't picking #1 overall
>NFLN talking about how this affects the draft order
>but the Chargers can still can take the best position player on defense
FUCK OFF WE NEED OFFENSIVE LINE
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>Giving up 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks, and 2 third round picks to move up 14 spots in the NFL Draft.
>>66816218
>drafting for need
Stop.
Ramsey is the way to go; and Center is a bigger hole than tackle.
Wentz and Goff are the new Carr and Harrington. Overrated, overpriced dogshit.
>>66816247
You can get a beastly center at the start of the 2nd round you dumb faggot
>>66816254
David Carr for any defensive raidnigger goofs out there who can't remember more than 5 years in the past
>>66816210
I dunno, the defense was really lackluster last year and cost >us a bunch of games, but it mostly was the dumb coordinator's fault (how did he even get another DC job after that). Everyone awaits a big leap from Danny Shelton, we'll see.
>>66814343
Jesus christ what a glorious trade for the Titans
>>66816269
hey
shut up
>>66816247
this desu
ryan kelly early 2nd
Am I the only Rams fan here who likes the trade?
I mean we have had a pretty formidable team for a few years now, we just have have very bad QB play which makes it all tumble down.
Sure the Oline needs a little bit of work, but it can be addressed in the later rounds.
Rams are pretty much in a short win now window. The team will hold out long enough for a young QB to grow and we will have a good chance of deep playoff runs for maybe 2-3 years.
Will the Chiefs ever not be over hyped dog shit by their fans?
>yfw the rams bomb next season
>have a top 5 pick they gave to the Titans
>yfw Titans gain a generational player from the pick
>>66816352
>we just have have very bad QB play
and an almost empty cupboard at WR
>tits trade #1 pick to Rams
so does this mean Wentz won't be a Brown and we'll have to pick Goff?
>>66816352
Like all those Mexicans can afford to go see the Rasm live
>Bring back OUR Rams
>>66816394
Oi m8, are you a member of a league in Madden Mobile? The league I'm in is looking for active players, I can invite you if you want
>>66816352
unless you are in a "win now" or "win in 6 years", this is a disaster. If you squander 5 out of 6 top draft picks over two consecutive years, you are going to have to choose between having shit at a few positions or cap space hell when you don't have cheap young talent to replace expensive vets.
>>66816381
Kenny Brit has had dog shit throwing to him and Bradley Marquez is young and full of potential.
Not only that we have one of the most underrated TEs in the game with Lance Kendricks.
It isnt a bad core group, but I agree we need more depth. But if people stay healthy its not the end of the world. Their play will be much improved with a better QB
>>66816394
When the Browns Brown, they do it in style
>>66816428
I meant to put Tavon Austin in there too
I wouldnt call it barren
>>66816424
sure senpai, I'm down
>"I didn't know the Rams loved me that much," top cornerback Jalen Ramsey said following the trade
>>66816442
Doo Doo Browns
>>66816456
I'm sure he'll have a great time in Dallas
>>66816454
K, give me your username, I'll add ya.
So are the Rams going QB with the first overall pick? or will they pick Jalen Ramsey or someone else?
>>66816233
They got back a 4th and 6th rounder this year too
They will also get a 3rd round comp pick next year for Janoris Jenkins which basically cancels out giving up their 2017 3rd rounder
>>66816352
Honestly the Rams didn't give up that much and they will have a great young nucleus to build around
Offence
>Wentz/Goff
>Gurley
>Austin
>Britt
>Saffold
>Robinson
Defence
>Quinn
>Donald
>Brockers
>Hayes
>Barron
>Ogletree
>Johnson
Rams biggest needs after taking a QB will be
1. Secondary
2. O line
3. WRs
I think if they get the right QB he will be able to make do with their current WRs but O line and Safety are big issues on paper right now. They drafted a fuck ton of O linemen last year and Saffold was only healthy for 4 starts though so they'll likely target somebody to compete for the FS job and depth at CB
>>66816507
Of course they go QB
Do the Eagles have to trade up to #2 to get Goff?
Would Peters, #8 this year and a 1st rounder next year get us to #2?
>>66816428
am Rutgers alum, always thought Britt could be a top 15 WR if put in the right situation/he keeps it down to one DWI per year
>>66816484
He needs to beat up his girlfriend before the cowboys seriously consider him
>>66816517
Probably not, Peters is fucking old
>>66816261
I know, which is why I'm not for Tunsil in the 1st, you dummy.
The face of a man who knows that his days are numbered if he doesnt turn things around.
So what do you do?
Give away all your draft picks for a middling QB
>>66816517
Goff is fucking shit
>>66816523
kek
>>66816380
They can draft a real QB than. Memeota should be washed out of the league by then.
>Jalen Ramsey says most interest from #Chargers, #Cowboys, #Ravens, #Jags. And he said again, "I still think I'm the best player in draft.''
>>66816352
I wonder how many people will die at Raiders/Rams games.
>>66816568
He seems to have a very selfish and black personality, I would avoid him
>>66816559
B-but ESPN told me...
>>66816568

>mfw

>Total Jew
Well there's your answer, fella.
>doing Fanspeak
>use NFL.com big board
>Ezekiel Elliot is ranked as a 4th overall
Hmmmm
>>66816507
They trade the pick for RG3.
>yfw the Rams only did this to create even more value for the 1st overall
>they proceed to trade the 1st to someone else for an even bigger bounty.
>>66816517
Browns don't want Peters. I could see them trading Jordan Matthews though.
#8, 1st and 3rd next year, Matthews would probably do it.
If that does happen, the Browns will be convinced they won the trade and shoot their load way too early by taking Paxton's Lunch with #8.
will the titans draft smart and turn everything around?
>>66816635
Jeff Fisher isn't that smart.
>>66816635
Yes, I can see the Rams using the same ingenuity that has kept them at 8-8 for 15 fucking years in a row to outsmart another franchise.
>>66816642
so far it seems like they've gotten the one Belichick crony that doesn't get lobotomized before he steps outside of Boston, so maybe
>>66816642
They have had flashes over the last couple of years where they looked like a good team, but fell apart.
With Mariota set, you never know what could happen with a bucket of high end picks
>>66816554
Say, that's not a bad idea...
>>66816642
They don't even have to knock it out of the park to win the draft. With that many picks they're statistically likely to fall into a few pro bowlers.
Why would you trade up to #1 when no QB this year? This QB draft class is on par with 2013 as in absolute garbage.
>>66816699
I mean I could understand trading up to get a once in a generation talent like Jameis but this year makes no sense.
>>66816642
Honestly I can see them turning that defense into a monster. They'll model themselves after the Seacucks and rely on Mariota/Delanie/DGB to move the chains/not fuck up that badly and win a shitty division. All that's missing is their workhorse RB, which they believe they got in...Demarco Murray...
So to answer your question, no, probably not.
>Rams
>>66816642
No the Titans are still gonna be garbage because they literally can't stop anyone throwing on them and their offence will almost certainly be 3rd in the AFC South at best
The trade is really only relevant for the Rams and even they still probably havent changed their fortunes simply because of the Seahawks and Cards at the top of the division
I like both teams trying to make things happen but neither has bought themselves playoff relevancy in 2016
>>66816699
Because you just moved your franchise to LA and want to sell season tickets to a bunch of leftist hipsters who don't give a shit about handegg
>>66805883
>At the moment
>Ravens lost to the Browns, 49ers, Jaguars, and Dolphins last season
Nah brah
I see this as a PR move as much as its a football move.
Remember drafting Sam?
I would bet that it has more to do with Stan Kroenke forcing the trade than Jeff Fisher really wanting a QB.
Gotta sell those tickets nigga
>>66816778
Didn't the NFL pay the rams to take him or promise them they wouldn't have to do hard knocks.
>>66816798
That was Sams story when he got cut, everyone denies it.
I wouldnt doubt it though
what do the rasm do if wentz or goff is a bust?

Go all out
>>66816963
You do realise I said the Pats would win the owl in June/July of 2014 as well?
I had a compilation of a ton of my caps saying they would win the owl before the season even started. My laptop died and I can't be fucked finding them all right now but somebody here might have saved it

I don't even care if people shit on me when I fuck up I just want credit for when I actually call NFL related shit correctly which is a solid 70% of the time
>>66816152
