what happened to us? will we be a force again sometime soon? what do other countries think of our rise and fall? discuss below.
Alex Ferguson > Manchester United

surely SAF = manchester united, no?
I guess ferguson left, refballing stopped, players relaxed, players became old, players were let go with no proper replacement, rival teams had been gradually strengthening, the club owners have no clue about football, there is no real sports project, no proper scouting, desperate ridiculous and expensive transfers, etc.
It's been quite interesting to see unfold, and hilarious too
>will we be a force again sometime soon?
difficult to say but most probably. Money can buy success or at least get you quite close but there are a few strong rivals in the top 3 and right now the squad is quite mediocre
daily reminder moyes did nothing wrong, and he didnt get nearly a third of the support van laal is
>>66708003
there's a difference between moyes and a champions league winner
>>66708003
>That Moyes season
What a time to be alive.
>>66708027
yeah if woodward had actually done his job moyes wouldve been successful. van faal has spent hundreds of millions and the team is no better off than the shamble of a squad moyes inherited
>>66708003
He was the chosen one but plastic manurefags were too impatient to see him develop his project and kicked him out of the club because he didn't win the treble in his first season. Very disrespectful to sir alex
>>66708188
buying fellaini was enough of his project thanks
>>66708291
who turned out to be pivitol for lvg's hoofball tactics...yeah moyes is the dumb one
We need to restate Sir Alex Ferguson as our manager and sign Xavi then we be force again
They need a director of football to guide their strategy long term. They have had 0 strategy in their signings since Ferguson left.
The man utd coaching job is too big of a job for just the coach to do this imo

dont forget about bobby and besty

The problem was that Manure thought they were like Real Madrid and so they naturally assumed that they will always have a selection of world class players wanting to come to the club like they would do with Real or Barca.
Unfortunately, they never planned ahead after Ferguson post 2011-2012 and it showed with the decline of the entire squad and the retiring of club idols. As such they were ill prepared to transition and so when Moyes and later Van Gaal took over, they worsened the situation.
Now they cant even qualify for the CL and a world class player looks at them like they do with Liverpool - has beens. That will most likely change with Mourinho on board because of his pedigree and CV but it will have to take a season or 2 for their problems to be fixed.
No more Fergie time and ref bullying
there are only so many great players in the world
and most of them play for better teams
i don't see ManU getting any of them

Please god no, we need ppl that know about football
>>66709217
fuck you
>>66707559
SAF didn't prepare for the future properly, he knew he fucked up so he went out to buy RVP for one last title push
also shouldn't have let Pogba leave
waiting for the day Arselel-Manure rivalry becomes relevant again :')
Next year is our year our kid

United have the money, they're just going after shit targets
Could have had De Bruyne, could have gone for Dybala, could have not alienated Pogba
They could have Griezmann if they wanted but they'll probably do something stupid like sign Lukaku
Utd never were a big club desu. One ec in the stoneage then decades of mediocrity. Fergie was a half decent manager who had the refs in his pocket, hence the domestic dominance. Always shit in europe. Now yourebback to your natural level as a mid table side
