None of these teams are really all too good. Villareal and Bilbao are a bunch of literally who's + a few actually good players like Soldado and Muniain. The reason why spanish clubs generally do well in the Europa League is because the spanish are the masters of diving, cheating, manipulating the ref and time wasting.
Have you ever watched a spanish team in the Europa League with a 1 goal lead to defend in the last 45 min of a tie? It's a complete shit show. Their players go down at the slightest contact, stay down and let the medics carry them off the field just to come back 10 seconds later. They swarm the refs at every decision against them. When subbed out they walk in slow motion off the field etc. They know no shame unlike german and english clubs who would never do it to this extent.
I hope we get to see something like a european super league one day because cup tournaments clearly favor unsportsmanship behavior. Mediocre spanish clubs being favorites to win the EL every year is clear proof of this.

most of these clubs who do well in cup competitions will try to do almost everything they can do within reason to win a game because they know these cup games can be decided by small margins.

Spanish clubs set more importance to Europe League than others because LaLiga is a 2 team league and therefore the best chances for a CL spot for Spanish clubs is to win EL.
