>#7 Oklahoma
>#3 UNC

For real, has any college team ever had to face a fucking death march like this on their way to a Championship? This has to be one of the most impressive Title Runs in College Basketball history.
>>
>>66604911
It definitely is
>>
Weren't they a 2 seed?

So really their only impressive victory would be over the 1 seed correct?

I don't watch cuckhoop though :/
>>
please continue to tout a floundering Iowa team like beating them was some sort of fucking accomplishment
>>
Nova should have fucking been a 1 seed
but nope, selection committee fell for the Pac-12 ruse and gave it to >Oregon
>>
>>66605126
jesus lurk more before posting why come on /sp/ if you're too retarded to know the difference between tournament seeding and overall ranking? didn't you think it was odd that their were multiple #1 teams?
>>
>>66605132

I mean, for a round of 32 matchup Iowa was about as strong of competition as a high-seeded team is likely to face.
>>
It really was desu, I'm a yuge UNC fan but I can't even be mad, they fought their asses off
>>
>>66604911
top 25 ranking goes out the window in march

circlejerk more PA faggot

just be quiet then pls
>>
>>66605132
Okay, so even if Iowa was one of the tough matchups to face in the round of 32, you still have

>#10 Miami
>#1 Kansas
>#7 Oklahoma
>#3 UNC

Can you not appreciate a great run by a bunch of dudes who aren't even 1st-round NBA talents (or NBA talents at all). Do you enjoy living your life in such a negative mindset?
>>
It's certainly up there. Both Kansas and UNC were widely regarded as the two best teams left going into the Elite 8, and killing the Buddy Heilds is impressive too.

Don't forget about the 1997 Arizona team that beat three number 1 seeds to win it all.

Remember when people said the Big East was dead a few years ago
>>
Has /cbb/ been revived because of the greatest march madness ever? Will be actually see /cbb/ threads during the regular season next year?

I am not saying their road was tougher, it was just more top heavy...but the 1997 Arizona championship team still remains as the only team to beat three #1 seeds in the tourney.
>>
>>66607981

Last night was probably bigger for the Big East than Villanova. They're still trying to prove that a basketball-only conference can hang with the Football-Centric Conferences, and last night was a huge step in that direction.
>>
>>66607981

Depaul up in this bitch.

It's huge not just to prove the conference's viability on the national scene but also for recruiting purposes. Every school in the Big East got a big W last night, definitely the brightest spot since the conference was broken up
>>
Can we all just take a moment to laugh at the Pac12 and Little 10 & 12?
>>
>>66607981
I wish Syracuse would rejoin the Big East
>>
>>66608113

No school with an FBS Football team will ever join the Big East again. Sad, but true.
>>
>>66608113
>>66608182
Notre Dame never should have left. Their football team doesn't even play in the ACC

Notre Dame should join the Big East and so should St. Joseph's
>>
>>66605126

Regardless of their seeding they had an absolutely brutal path to the ship. It was one of the best title runs ever
>>
Who? /Kerry Kittles/ up in here?!
>>
>>66608036
If only they could regain some sense of repectability
>>
>>66608488
nah man all about /kyle lowry/

he was at the game last night too
>>
>>66608182
Connecticut is ripe.

Ollie is the best young coach. Can we get a Quarterback? Big 12 here we cum.
>>
>>66608375

I really wish ND would have stayed, but realistically they're gonna have to have their Football team join a conference eventually. Had to set themselves up for that inevitability.

>>66608517
Any chance UConn just gives up and goes FCS?
>>
>tfw your oneitis goes to Vilanova and is probably taking a BBC right fucking now

How's dem Cowboys with our boy Jones?

Our alumni is too deep & the Calhoun legacy is fuck strong.
>>
>>66608500

We'll always have the women's team to watch get BTFO by UConn each year. ;_;
>>
>>66608606
Villanova student here, we are 95% white, I doubt she would be.
>>
>>66605132
you can complain about iowa all you want (not the first time you've whined about this i believe), but if its your 5th toughest tournament matchup, that's pretty serious.

It's very plausible that UNC, KU and OU were the 3 best teams besides nova in the tourney. Incredible run, and no amount of retarded nitpicking will change that.
>>
>>66609055
OU was not one of the best 4 teams lmso they were placed in the easiest region in tournament history they werent that good
>>
>>66608606
>having oneitis
>>
>>66607981
I'm glad it's continuing to survive as a basketball conference. None of these conferences make sense anymore anyway. Maryland in the Big 10 and Syracuse in the ACC...
>>
>>66609189
was oregon better? MSU? Xavier? Virginia? Don't think any of those are definitive enough to make you "lmso"
