They have a shot to be good but I think the problem with them is how many question marks are associated with the team. The AL east will be a dog fight from start to finish and any team could be justified on winning. Most are choosing between the jays and sox. I'm not quite sure why everyone is writing off the Yankees to be honest. They seem like a better team than last year and they still managed to grab a WC spot. The orioles and rays are longer shots to win but I don't think many people would be entirely surprised if that happened. Between Toronto and Baltimore I don't think there's a team more offensively powered. At least not in the American League. I'm excited for the upcoming season not only because the jays have a chance to recapture the division, but also because it could be one of the tightest divisions we've seen in a long time. No more are we seeing the Yankees and Red Sox steam roll everyone.
