I expect at some point Carlsen will take on a dubious line in the d3 Ruy Lopez with Black and lose the game.

I don't expect Karjakin to be too creative with his openings over the course of the match though, and Carlsen will win more than one game via a positional grind similar to how Anand defeated Karjakin in round 11 of this Candidates tournament.
