Tennis would be way better if it was just three/five sets up to 21 or 31 or whatever, like other racquet sports.
The logistics of games at sets mean that it comes down to one or two crucial points on serve per entire match, the rest of it is usually incredibly boring. It also means that many matches between players of similar skill are decided by luck.
Take the Verdasco game yesterday. He won something like 56% of the points but didn't win the match. How can a scoring system that encourages tanking, and allows the player who scored less points to win be encouraged?

it adds a very mental element which then influences how the game is played also don't forget to add in the constant play and endurance to this
i think it's fine overall but i agree with the somewhat long mostly in the start being less meaningful and from that more boring
however you get a very high chance there are a lot of important points near the end of a set, like denying your opponent the 5th game
as for the sets i'm not entirely sure, it feels pretty sucky when you realize they just played over an hour and it's basically 1-0 but it's also a nice reset and nothing carries over. i would look at it like this, you need best of x to get a much higher chance of the "better" player winning, since the matches are kinda long you cannot have multiple matches, a set is basically one match and so this best of x mechanic is build into the scoring system
maybe you can connect that to how there are not that many upset or in general how the rankings are pretty solid and consistent for the most part. i mean when it happens it's from something happening with the player right? not because of a cuck scoring system. that's not the case for all sports

The DR is very similar to the Ai. Gives you a bit more feel, whereas the Ai is more muted. But basically the same.
The general opinion is
DR 98 > Ai 98 > Ai 100 > DR 100
Although the DR 100 is apparently great for doubles/heavy net play, whereas the Ai 100 is better for baseline.
But, I love my Ai 98. Maybe I'll upgrade to the DR eventually when they're cheaper. But holy cow I can rip forehands with my Ai 98.

Isner is like 31, Karlovic 37 and Raonic 24. There are not that many others. I think that the wider the amount of styles there are, the more fun it is.
For example the rivalry between Nishikori and Raonic is really fun as their styles are as different as can be. Besides if you've watched Raonic you'd know that he has started to develop more of an all court game recently, (he is btw as tall as Berdych).
Isner is the only bot I truly hate. He depends on very square serving and mediocre flat hitting. Ivo is more fun as he serve and volleys, backhand slices and vaporizes forehands. Murray vs Karlovic last year was a fantastic match for example
