No there are no almost no 3-4 fronts with booth olbs with their hand in the dirt and even so the basic NFL play not over coverage or blitz is sending 4. They don't have less lbs to cover the same space it will still be three but they could potentially drop all 4 lbs back and only send 3 where a 4-3 de will never be as to cover a zone. Switching coverage based on olb dropping isn't big deal m8 on passing downs they will almost always have the weak side rush and then shift accordingly

W E W L A Dplayers get thrown around when trades or systems switched or even through draft coaches make 3-4 olbs play de and 4-3 des play olb they switch around all the time because they are almost exactly the same fucking thing
If different body types and skills is what you mean you are reaching so hard to make it work
They are both pass rushers
Only 3-4 olbs get to drop into coverage on a regular basis
The resulting difference that 4-3 des can put on more weight to give them more force on the line,
Search up any successful 4-3 de or 3-4 olb you can see that they will generally be 6'3 + and 255+lbs add more weight for height and add marginally more for 4-3 des IE 6'3 and 270 4-3 de
As for MLB, there is little to no difference in the specifics to be in the inside
3-4 more athleticism is preferred and more weight in a perfect world everyone is Patrick Willis 6'1 250 and 4.56 40 it's hard to find these guys even for a 4-3
They are generally bigger in a 3-4 because any one of them can ad will be asked to stick up a tight end, fullback, leading blocker, or pulling guard.
There is no preference of a specific body type at 3-4 or 4-3 ilb that would make the two incompatible or even detrimental to a player's performance

There is no significant difference in the players teams put at MLB in a 4-3 or 3-4 except weight at an almost negligible difference and even when they put "undersized" guys in a 3-4 they are still effective because saying they require bigger guys at linebacker is speaking theoretically in ideals people make do with what they have and can find that sometimes a player with less weight is better at the position
