The world cup. I literally was rigged multiple times.
>>
The men's basketball gold medal game in the 1972 Olympics. The clock hit zero twice with the US ahead but time kept being put back on (one of which was ordered by someone with literally zero authority to do so) until the Soviets "won" on their third try. The American protest was then denied 3-2 with votes coming along Cold War lines.

Every sport is rigged at some point but the #1 is boxing. You can't prove me wrong.

Gee, I think if it was rigged Barca wouldn't have had a man fucking sent off.

Not to say that the ref didn't do a bad job, just saying there's literally no way a team can pay off a ref and still get a questionable red card.

it was earlier than that they rigged the 85 draft lottery so the knicks could get Ewing

I bring to the court Exhibit A
The New York Knicks

The NBA has always played fourth fiddle in NYC behind the NFL, MLB, and NHL.
In the 80s NHL and MLB were huge in NYC with the success of the Islanders and Mets. The NBA wanted to compete

So they brought Ewing to New York yet all the success of the Knicks in the 90s paled to the Rangers, Yankees and Gretzky comimg to New York. In thus the NBA moved on from the New York market back to LA
Ever since the Knicks have been horrible and have no outlook of improving

uhmm, the rule said nothing about hands on it, only about a motion while bringing it back to the body. it was still in motion when he was stripped.
>>
>>66353155
Just because the Knicks are one of the worst professional sports teams in history doesn't mean it's rigged

Well, he does make a good point.

If the game was rigged then why would Abidal be sent off for nothing? And why didn't Barcelona get a dodgy pen? Surely the plan can't have been "let's send off their player and hope they can conjure up a last minute miracle winner while down to 10 men"

2015 afc championship with colts vs pats
>>
There was a game clearly thrown in 2007 in Super Rugby. The scoreline at the end was 92 - 3.

Bulls (from South Africa) vs Reds (from Australia. Last game of the regular season before finals.

The Bulls needed to win and score more than 70 points difference in for/against. This is a massive difference in Rugby. Like needing to score 6 goals difference in a single soccer game.

Lo and behold the Reds send a team with 16 new players out of a 22 man squad (including 4 players who had never played a game before), and promptly give away the biggest scoreline in 19 seasons of Super Rugby.

It didn't help that the Reds were one of the poorest teams in the comp, and the Bulls were the 2nd richest.

Its been thought that they were paid to field a C grade team, as the game meant nothing to the bottom placed Reds.

nah, this was pretty fucking rigged. the NFL knew that if the broncos lost that game, they'd probably have to go through foxboro in the playoffs. and they knew peyton wouldn't win there.
the entire game was full of questionable calls, but that "phantom whistle" at the end took the cake. essentially wiped off a gronk TD that would have sealed the game for the pats. like, that was one of the most blatant refballs i've ever seen in my entire life

lol I guarantee you've never even watched the game.
>>
>>66355426
Yeah. The Colts purposely deflated the Patriots' balls in the first half. Once the Patriots realized what happened, they refilled the balls with air and proceeded to score more in the second half than they did in the first.

It's rigged because the Colts didn't get BTFO by more points.
>>
>>66353655
The fact there is evidence that they rigged the draft to give the Knicks the best player of the draft does mean they tried to rig it. They just didn't openly tamper with the games as much. Although i'll always remember the flop between the Knicks and Bulls in the divisional that let the Knicks advance.
>>
>>66350796
pretty much everyone vs. South Korea in that world cup
>>
2002 World Cup, Korea and Italy. The wops were robbed.
>>
>>66350092
There was 1 Champions League or europa league game between some random teams and 1 team needed to win by like 7 goals to advance and they ended up doing just that. It was so blatant cause when you watched the highlights they were just walking the ball in
>>
>>66357650

>>

this
>>
>>66354108

The 2001 Soup was before 9/11.

And yes, the NFL pulled out all the stops so that Peyton Manning could retire with another Super Bowl. I think the call on the Jerricho Cotchery catch early in that game set the tone, especially since it set up the Broncos' first touchdown. It was, more than anything else, a game-altering call.
>>
>>66357829
No. It was the correct call of a shitty rule which is why they got rid of it toot sweet.
>>
>>66354044
I just don't get how anyone can take the nba seriously after that and ewing

Giants were holding on every single play in 18-1, so has to be that

Get the fuck out.
Every team going against the Denver D got away with a shitload of holdings. Perhaps that first catch was shady, but that's about it. Cam fucked up.
>>
I remember the NFL fucking the Browns over with draft picks when they came back in 99 because they didn't want a new team to have as much success as the older ones.
