In spite of my criticisms of the Rangers in this thread, this game is the best I've seen the Rangers look in quite some time. They are playing very disciplined hockey, very solid defensively. Offense could still use some energy (confidence) but overall a good game from the Rangers in the 1st period.

I didn't like to see the Rangers let that game slip away but you could see it coming from a mile away. They team collectively looked exhausted and they just all ran out of gas at the same time. Up until that point, the Rangers really played some very disciplined hockey. I was thinking that was the moment the Rangers started heating up before the playoffs but the finish was disappointing.
