they kind of remind me of 2013 tahs, lots of promise and good attack but end up fucking it up with handling errors

>>
>>66320915
I never thought about it until now, but other than the university sides, we have a very diverse group of players. Shieeeeet.

I won't tell you my club name, or even what province it's in but the general gist of it, is that:

Our Minis program (u11) is fantastic
Our Junior program is mediocre (u14-u20)
But our premier mens team is top 5 in the country and our womans team is top 10.

Listing the expats, including the ones who are citizens:

2 Aussies
One is a mix of races, is really smelly with long, long dreads. A lil chubby. Plays Scrum half, a lot of heart.
Other is typical west coast Aussie, plays 10/12/15

1 Kiwi
Already mentioned

1 English man
Very new, loose foward, makes 15+ tackles a game. Don't even know how he does it. Best set of teeth I've ever seen

3 Irish
2 play scrum half, the other is a lock
The lock was the long time club captain, but is getting older, but has never played better.
One scrum half is a McGregor clone
The other is a real Alpha Male. Not a dudebro alpha a real Alpha, fancy suits, wealthy job and bitches for days. Top 3 scrum halves in the province.

A family of Tongans
Most of them were born here. 6+ of them ages vary from 15 - 24. 19yo 8Th is arguably the best player at the club. Two of them are raging drunks. Everytime the club has any sort of function/party. Two people are assigned to the each of them to control their alcohol consumption. They always fail though, and they always get into fights. But that's typical Polynesian people

3 Fijians
One is an alcoholic and is decent,
The other two however are national level players and form arguably the best center pairing in Canada, not in the national team. Funnily enough they don't get along too well because they originated from enemy villages in Fiji.

1 Kenyan
Most well spoken and well behaved man I've ever met. Shit at the game though, fat and slow

1 Russian
New to the game, new to Canada. Hates hockey, works with a bunch of the club guys at a bar.
>>
>>66321090
and the argie?

also, this is something that on't let you grow, you gotta prioritize your own players instead of expats, it's something to be legitimately concerned
>>
>>66321114
There's two argies actually. Both fowards both very new to the club and Canada. Our scruming coach is Argentinean so despite only being here for a month or two, they have become very close. The one I mentioned earlier plays for the first. The other sits on the bench for prems, he's a jack of all trades, plays loose foward mainly but can slot in at lock a great utility. He is very good and even plays for a rival provincial team but the current starters are just better.

The reason we have so many expats is because the club is very large, almost 90 men with 4 teams. The expats are at a varying degree of playing level so it evens out. The premier team consists mainly of home grown talent, 19/23 of the usual match day squad is local.

Our Junior program might be mediocre, but every year we get 3 - 5 players who make a transition from boys to men and they more often than not end up staying with the club for a very long time.
>>
>>66321114
Also there are limits to how many expats you can actually have in your club and how many can actually be slotted in as starters.

We are also lucky to have expats who decide to stay in Canada and then attempt to get their citizenship/permanent residency in order to free up an expat slot.
>>
>>66321201
if that's the best way for you guys then i guess it's fine, but if i were in your shoes i wouldn't like it much
however it looks like a very fun place to play at, the foreigners are recruited by your club or they approach the club? Also in which team are you? The main one?
>>
>>66321201
also if it's the second im sincerely interested in getting back into full shape and trying out, how are you guys in the tighthead department? I guess also loose head, but after having retained the number 3 for 5 years in a row while i still played i can't really picture myself playing as a loose even though i did train it just in case
>>
>>66321249
They approach us, usually guys who are recruited for working opportunities and are just looking for a club to play with.

I play with the first
Tiers go like this
Premiership > Firsts > 3As > 3Bs
Two different leagues in my province with the Premiership being the very top in not just the province but arguably all of North America

>>66321263
Premiership team is stacked with props at the moment
At the Firsts and third level, there isn't really any specifics into which side you prop at. Honestly as long as you can hold the weight in the scrum and exhibit a fair playing level you should be good to go rust and all.

However it should be noted every league across the country is ending with the next month or two in order to accommodate for the CRCs
>>
>>66321090
>Other is typical west coast Aussie, plays 10/12/15

West Coast Australians don't even know what a Rugby is so this make no sense
>>
>>66321298
would still take me a couple of months, maybe even three to get back into shape anyways, broke a leg in january of last year and it was pretty serious, my surgeon was a genius and i went through a perfect recovery to full health, but never took care of recovering the muscle lost there after months of not even walking on it, the best i ever played was at the Sub-21 national level and individually just one shitty U-19 game against U r a gay, after that i stopped playing because real life started calling, im still 21yo tho

You still have lots of time in your playing career. I was in a similar predicament as you, except it was for my knee. Tore my Mcl and acl. Even after recovering it took me a while to get back to that level. I took a year off rugby just to get there.

Highest level I achieved was Canada u19 I tore my acl and Mcl shortly after our tour of England.

Why do they get to play as 4(FOUR) international teams?

Reminder that is fucking Whales can be an international team, the Basedbies should be aswell.
>>
>>66321351
im still long ways to go here, it's kinda long and complicated with our system, so im gonna be at least 10 years more before i can apply to be sent somewhere, i can start working before but only at a low responsability with actually decent pay job inside the chancellery
You gotta have a title in International relationships (i know kek) which is 4 years + 4 years studying law + another year specialization in International laws and then 2 years studying in the chancellery, by the time you apply to start studying in the chancellery you gotta present also a title in fluent english and the equivalent title in at least one other language. So there is that kek.
But like i said since you can start working for them before all that it's not that bad, also you start gaining trust if you do it.

>>66321378
Cordoba should be and International side, is bigger than wales or scrotland and probably ireland.

>>66321334

>>
>>66321392

>>66321392
Then honestly, the best you can do is to just start building strength. If you truly have to rush back into playing, consult your doctor or a set a physio session and ask them what you can do on your own to rebuild your strength.
>>
>>66321392

Kek lad that's fucked. There's nowhere near enough money in the public service (and ours pays a shitload better than yours) to warrant 10+ years of study. I did my 4 years of international relations/law and thats all I need.

>Cordoba should be and International side, is bigger than wales or scrotland and probably ireland.

It could probably beat any of those as well
>>
>>66321422
it tends to be a way into politics which is where the money is at kek. Also they get so many bonuses and are so free to keep their own business running that many are there to create connections
However most diplomatics here are there through connections or studying their asses off while receiving money from a high earning faimily, basically very rarely someone without a good last name gets in.

>>
>>66329175
>make sure they go 0-3

I think Australia will win but it wont be 3-0.

The Wallabies won't be full strength. I doubt Cheikstradamus will recall >our European-based players (ie Kepu, Two-Dads) for that series.

It'll probably be used to blood new players before the RC. I expect the team to basically be the Basedbies + a few Tards backs + one of the young Speds FSP's
>>
>>66329371
I'd say lads like Samu Kerevi might get a run too, they might give Nick Frisby and Stirzacker a go just to scare Phipps into not being shite.
>>
>>66329371
you didnt really need the backs to beat england last time

you dominated them in the scrum and the breakdown
that was more than enough
>>
>>66329493

Hold up

One player from the Speds is enough. They have a good scrum and literally nothing fucking else.

No need to plague the national team with cancer from the worst team in the competition.
>>
Canes

>>
>>66329541
The trouble with that is that Samu Kerevi was nipping at the heels of Tevita Kuridrani last season and he was the one good player in the reds backline - the only real change being that Samu has had a rotating roster of inside centres this season whereas most of last season he had Ben Tapuai inside him and now taps is at the force.

As for Frisby, he's a total meme player, but at least he's a meme player with ticker. He's basically only made it as far as he has because he has weapons-grade heart.
>>
>>66329757

what happened to mini Kuridrani anyway?

Thought the Reds would be decent after their young players smashed the NRC. Guess not.
>>
>>66329787
He's still in the squad but he has Eto Nabuli and Chris Feaui Sautia in front of him.

He crushed it in the NRC though and neither Nabuli or CFS have really covered themselves in glory so far this season.
>>

>>
>>66331022

Tickets arent even on sale yet. For Sydney atleast its at Allianz rather than Stadium Australia because I doubt they could sell-out the latter.
>>
>>66331197
>For Sydney atleast its at Allianz rather than Stadium Australia

Not that im complaining

Moore Park >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Homebush
>>
>>66331197
Yeah they've had it in 3 small stadiums (Suncorp will be the biggest) rather than going for massive stadiums.

Pulver said the reason they're doing it is because they want the people going to the games to have a good atmosphere, even though they would make more money from less people in a bigger stadium than a sell out at a smaller stadium.

I think it's a good idea to get people interested in going to the rugby again though. They should probably just hold all tests in Brisbane though.
>>
>>66331337

Have you seen the attendances the Speds are getting this season? Absolutely dire
>>
>>66331388
About 18,000 for the force game. Probably less for the blues game, but after the way that game went there will be more for the tards.

And saying the reds are getting bad attendance doesn't mean that the wobs will get bad attendance.
>>
Male rugby players should be paid more than females. There, I said it.
>>
>>66327273
It is one thing for Eddie to start proclaiming dates he will beat the All Blacks but this is pure unadulterated faggotry. I will be raising my arms to the sky and lending all my energy to the Australian spirit bomb during the tour.
>>
>>66331816
To be fair I don't think Eddie did anything wrong. You can't have your coach saying "yeah nah, don't think we've got the squad to beat any of those SH lads desu".
>>
>>66329371
The question is what do we do with the Wallabies who won't make the next World Cup. Do we just start getting rid of players like Moore, TPN, Fardy, Holmes?

Do we give caps to players who will there in 2019 like Luke Jones, and Liam Gill.

We could win the RC and Bledisloe if we use the guys from the RWC, but we should really be blooding new guys before they go overseas.

Players like Hanson, Latu, Stirzaker, McMahon, Coleman, Vaea, Haylett-Petty need to be locked down, otherwise they'll chase that French money like Gill/Jones.
>>
>>66331863
Of course Eddie isn't going to admit defeat. The quote itself doesn't mean much it is the attitude within the camp Eddie is creating. Everyone knows the English thrive on being arrogant pricks so he is playing into that. Now that swelling self importance needs to be crushed.
>>
>>66331905
With all due respect to Moore and TPN, they aren't really required any more.

Hanson, and Latu are literally their clones, even down to race etc.
>>
>>66332018
>Hanson is a clone of TPN
>this stunningly superficial understanding

They're literally from completely opposite ends of Gregory Terrace, lad.
>>
Right, lads.

Going to find that Scot and stab him.
>>
>>66331905

The Wallabies isn't a development squad and it's not like cricket where they play a gorillion irrelevant matches and so they can waste caps on guys with potential.

Just pick the best team.
>>
>>66332234
i assume he means that hanson is a clone of moore and latu is a clone of tpn
>>
>>66332955
That's what I meant.

Squeak went to Brisbane Grammar, Chibba went to St Joseph's Gregory Terrace.

The two could literally not be more different.
>>
>>66332919
This. Besides we need the experience of the old mates on and off the field otherwise we just get a Deans 2.0 era where there's a lot of potential but absolutely nothing to show for it.
>>
>>66333087
You pick the best teams, and then have that extended squad where you're getting up and comers in with the top guys, going on tour and training and all that stuff, but not part of the match day 23.

Super simple stuff.

The sport here is nowhere near popular enough for them to be arrogant shits. Virtually all players also come out of private schools so its not filled with complete and utter scum like Rugby League teams.

>>
>>66348264
English club teams are nowhere near as bad as the French when it comes to spending money. It fucks up player development anyway if you've got a load of foreigners.
>all the top french clubs have foreign 10's
>amazing coincidence french national team doesn't have a good 10
>>
>>66348342

Doesn't take many foreigners to clog development in Rugby.

2/5 Australian teams have foreign half-backs. That means there are only three starting Australian half-backs and one of them is Nick Frisby
>>

you should be embarassed that we have won at least one match against you, we started from literally nothing and very recently

actually the youth development system implemented recently has given results in the form of Cordero, Matera and a couple more players that are already capable of adding to the team in games against strong opposition, they are all the same age months more or less, it's looking good t bh
they are also commiting less mistakes that fully developed and ''adult'' players like leguizamon or hernandez and they get injured much less often and much more lightly than them aswell

>>66365888
kek this is actually a good description of rugby tactics across the board

Most teams can fall back on defensive rugby and do a half decent job of it But defensive rugby can only get you so far... say the QF of the WC :P

Its when poor teams attempt attacking, intricate, expansive rugby that you get a team like the Kings
>>
>>66365958
we were legit great at the time (for the level at which we played which was Argie U-19) and an extremely offensive team, it was just one of those days when every single attack ended up in a knock on or similar, so between scrums and penalties the other team was hammering us. the changes the coach made were changing both wings for guys that played as centers with a strong defense and changing the 8th for another lock who was a beast tackling but shite at carrying the ball and the 2nd rows for yet another lock and a second row that was goat at stealing the ball in the rucks, the other changes was changing our loosehead who was getting annihilated by so many scrums, and the Scrum Half, and instructed us to hammer their defense with the forwards and short movements until they made a mistake, it was an extremely weird match, never again we had something like that happen.
But it was kinda fun kek
