Is bowling a sport? It doesn't require skill, only luck. Shouldn't it be classified as gambling?

Being able to read and predict lane conditions as the oil coverage changes over the course of a game is one of the most cool parts of the sport. The actual ball delivery requires mental focus and consistency just like any other aim-based, repetitive sport does, such as golf and shooting. Tons of skill required to be good at it.
>doesn't require skill
Nah, it does. Lots of muscle memory, too.

Competitive: Check
Physical Exertion: Check (hurling a 16lb/7KG in commie hundreds of times gives you a pretty good work out).
Objective official: Check.
Opponents direct influence: I would say yes, in a psychological way. I'm sure watching your opponent hit strike after strike can be demoralizing at times.
It's a sport. Not as demanding, obviously, as the most popular ball sports, but it does require a fair amount of skill and hand-eye coordination to be any good.

>physical exertion
It's chucking one ball down a lane, what, ten times? It's a game.
tuesdaynightwifeevade is not a sport

Yeah, I'm sure elite bowlers just play one game when practicing.
To get to that level requires thousands upon thousands of hours of practice.
I would agree it's a game at the recreational level, but at the professional level, it's more of a "sport."
ireallyhateniggers is not a sport
