I was 9 at the time and happened to be in France during the World Cup. Sadly, that was basically Romania's last big moment in the spotlight (other than Euro 2000, where we cucked England). Euro 2008 was a disgrace and Euro 2016 will be another disaster. Pity that we lost to Croatia, honestly.
Hagi's return against Hungary in the Euro 2000 qualifiers was hype as fuck, though.
