Playing for Bayerns means you don't have to leave the comfort zone, you get a few titles without having to do anything and even if you don't manage to break into the starting eleven you get a nice salary that future clubs will have to be able to get close to more or less. A guy like Rode, who was one of Frankfurt's most important players earned like 600k a year, now he earns about 3 million or more despite being a bench player. If he ever leaves Bayern he's not gonna go back down to 600k again.
