When Joe Namath did this shit decades ago everyone thought it was charming and hilarious.

Now Manziel does it -- to a lesser degree -- and people act like he beats women or did steroids.

Guess he needs to get on a good team and beat an aging QB legend in the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 51: Dallas v New England

It is confirmed.

he gives absolutely zero fucks

the only people who care and say he's a degenerate are the losers who willfully take cocks up their ass regularly from authority

Does anyone not cashing ESPN checks really care? I don't even think Browns fans care.

They do, but then they realize that they are the Browns and this is typical shit for them!

Time to play a guessing game, /sp/. What do you think Manziel's fake name was?
>>
>>64695307

>We were skeptical that somebody as famous as Manziel—not to mention how he seems to attract SnapChats and furtive creep shots—could spend an entire night partying in Vegas without a single photo leaking, and now we have at least one explanation why. According to ESPN Las Vegas radio host Mitch Moss, Manziel ate dinner, gambled, and partied wearing a blonde wig, mustache, glasses, and hoodie, going by the name “Billy.”
>Our sources tell us Manziel was at a popular night club on the strip Saturday night. The QB entered wearing a blonde wig, a fake mustache, glasses, and a hoodie.
>Manziel introduced himself as “Billy.” He was there into the 3am hour and when it came time to pay the bill, he asked to have it comped because he didn’t bring cash and also didn’t want to put it on his card.
>However, the sources tell us he ended up paying with his card and signing the check.
Furthermore, ESPN Las Vegas reports that Manziel ate dinner in a private area (keeping the wig on), and sat at a dark VIP table in the club. Throw in the fact that photography is banned in casinos—especially anywhere near the blackjack tables Manziel was alleged seated at—and you can begin to imagine a scenario in which Manziel spends 12 hours in Las Vegas without anybody snapping a photo of him and selling it to TMZ.

wait, why isn't photography allowed in casinos?

im a browns fan and i dont give a shit. johnny is the best thing that has been on the browns in a long time for the position of quarterback. he just has no tools to work with. we have a shitty defense, no fucking run game, a crumbling offenseive line, and no star receivers. everyone is shaming him for this shit but joe namath and kenny stabler were absolute legends for their off the field antics. if this was the 60s, 70s, or 80s no one would give a shit and he would be a legend. we should let him finish his contract out.
>>
At this point if I were Haslam, I'd be pissed off and vindictive. I wouldn't even trade him, just sit him on the bench as a perpetual 3rd stringer until his contract is up and fine him every time he does something stupid.
>>
>>64693486

hes young and has plenty of time to develop. he has been successful and the most dysfunctional organization in the NFL. tom brady couldnt uncluster the fuck known as the cleveland browns.

hes been successful in browns standards. no quarterback could even be successful or halfway decent on the browns. if he goes somewhere he will be immensely better.
>>
>>64696349
>hes young and has plenty of time to develop
You can't develop if you aren't there.
>>
>>64696430
he will go somewhere and develop and succeed.

Doubtful. One more team will give him a shot with a one strike policy and then he'll have to go learn how to be rich from his father.

>Being influenced by mass media

If their image is good, anything they do wont matter if it isnt a really bad crime
If their image is bad, everything they do is the apocalypse and they wont report anything else

It's all just to sell a story. I dont give a shit about his partying, do you? no. But people out there don't like Manziel, so they are just baiting. People liked Namath, so he could have raped and killed a 5 yo girl and it wouldn't have mattered to the media
>>

alcoholism aside he has shown basically no development athletically, he still has zero pocket presence, still tries to make too many plays with his feet, still throws without planting his feet 80% of the time, etc. there are a handful of teams that MAY be able to save + coach him up but none of them would want to deal with the mess
>>
>>64693486
Except Joe Namath was one of the best ever, and wasn't an addict. And didn't beat his girlfriend when he was cacked. Manziel is a 2nd string QB on the worst franchise in professional sports.

he'll work somewhere in the texas oil industry. thats how his parents got his money. he father can call a friend and get him a job as an account executive or something. texans would be thrilled to have him apart of their company.

>implying the browns line was able to protect him
why did mccown get hurt? shitty line. johnny is more agile so he moves around to make plays happen rather than sitting in the pocket and waiting to be sacked.

naw, addicts do what addicts do -- and it isn't succeed, m8.
Plus, his problem is compounded by the fact that he has never matured into a adult. He's got too much to overcome to succeed in the NFL, and no motivation to overcome it.

Combine that with the fact that he isn't all that good, objectively, and there's no reaso for a team to get involved with someone with such huge problems, for so little payoff.

>>
>>64696579

the browns line is not shitty, its probably the only area of the team that was above average this year. in fact their pass blocking was pretty fucking good. mccown got hurt cuz he has shitty decision making and takes fucking forever to throw the ball (which is partially the fault of the receiving corps but mccown has also ALWAYS had this problem). manziels tendency to abandon the pocket as soon as the line starts to move is not the fault of the big guys
>>
>>64693486

Joe Namath grew up the son of poor Eastern European immigrants outside of Pittsburgh and went on to lead his team to a Super Bowl.

Manziel was born into a wealthy family and talks about "money" and "wrecking" the league before doing anything and then plays backup for the dumpster fire of the NFL.

Manziel is vulgar; Namath had style.
