Therein lies the problem. We have the greatest disparity between team talent and front office competence of any team in the league. There are only a handful of teams with worse front offices but they are all godawful teams. We're the only team that manages to be somewhat successful (not this season) in spite of shoddy ownership and GMs, not because of. For example, the first several picks of the next draft should focus on the three areas we are most godawful at: o-line, d-line, and ILB. Unfortunately, here's what we'll actually do with our first three picks:
1st round - trade this to the Lions for Eric Ebron after we cut Allen and Fleener
2nd round - draft another speedy receiver to return kicks
3rd round - left tackle even though it's the only part of our o-line that's any good
Our ownership is fucked. "Smart drafts and trades", lol. Not with Irsay and Grigson in charge
