If I can give you one piece of advice, if you think you want to change majors because you take an elective that just connects with you deeper, or is just more fulfilling that your major's core curriculum, do it faggot. My gf and I both met while we shared the same major. She changed for the reasons I described, and loves her job, has been promoted 4 times and is making more than I am. I've changed jobs a few times and have been miserable at every one. Despite what people say, "safe majors" are seen as generic and unspecific, and therefore unrelated to the nature of their company's employment by some hiring personnel. If you go into a job interview with what some might call a "niche" degree, but one related to the nature of the company, and you can speak passionately about both, you have no idea how much help youll be doing yourself in interviews. Find something you love, and major in it, and go seek a job at it, and for the love of Christ, at least minor in something IT related because if you have a difficult time find a job you love, that will insulate you with a paycheck to at least keep you comfy, and everyone is looking for someone to handle their IT.
