Yeah that trade worked out well for the Braves. I think Swanson is gonna be a good player for the Braves. Won't be better then Simmons defensively but he will be a solid defender and provide actual offensive value. The Braves fleeced the DBacks in that deal considering the fact that Miller is a #3 at best.

Coghlan was also great in the outfield last year for the cubs, so you can't really expect an improvement from coghlan/schwarber last season with a full season schwarber now, if at all. Biggest room for improvement on the team is Soler if he plays like its the playoffs against the cardinals
as for the infield, bryant will be a little worse if anything, russell and bryant will probably be steady, and zobrist I can't see as much of an improvement over castro/baez, especially with zobrists big defensive decline
arrieta will definitely regress significantly, lester will be worse if anything, can't expect much from lackey over guys like hammel and hendriks

You're forgetting that CF in wrigley is one of the smallest in baseball. He projects to be an above average CF. I'm also not convinced that is where he plays. They still may trade Soler. Heyward is a huge improvement over Fowler strictly because of his contact skills. That's something the Cubs lineup desperately needs. They have enough power between Bryant, Rizzo, Schwarber, Baez and Russell.
Bryant is only going to improve. He'll probably be about what he was this year defensively. Russell is only going to get better and Zobrist should be steady as he ages. After Zobrist came back from his DL stint he was much better.
Arrieta will likely regress but he's still an ace and arguably the second best pitcher in baseball behind Kershaw. I'm not sure a lot of people understand just how good he is. Lester will be steady. He's been consistent his entire career. Will see what happens with Lackey and Hammel but Hendricks was excellent last year. He's a great BOR pitcher.

Ya, he was one of the 5 ACES, but he was actually the most reliable of the 5 and easily the most durable. If you look back at my post here >>64147703 you can see that I cite quality pitching depth as one of biggest concerns this coming season. Getting rid of Miley feels like a minus in the category considering what we do have at the moment, albeit not a big minus at that.
