Aldo's lost once in his career, and it was a decade ago. He's beat everyone in the division other than Conor. He's the fastest featherweight in the world for the first three rounds at least, and his run had a bunch of vicious KOs over very good guys.

One thing that I'm excited about is that Aldo was criticized for his sort of lack luster, no passion approach in some of his fights, but you know without a doubt that he wants this one bad.

Like all major sporting organizations, UFC has no actual interest in banning PEDs from competition. It would just lead to worse fighters, and stars out for years with nagging injuries. Audiences don't want that.
What audiences want is to be sold the fantasy that top level athletes are natty, while still having those athletes compete at levels that are impossible naturally. So you end up with allegedly "tough" drug testing policies that mysteriously don't seem to catch anyone important, even obvious juicers like Sage.
Every once in a while they'll pop someone, either as a sacrificial lamb so they can say their policies are working, or because they've become so blatant and careless that they have no choice (see Overeem). By and large, though, UFC anti-doping policy is not actually intended to stop doping.
