I was just weighing in on the nature of "raw" statistics to make it clear that it's often a misleading term, that's all. a bit curious though, do you happen to already know what definition PFF uses? personally, I think a ball that only touches the guy's fingertips isn't a drop. sure, it could still be the receiver's fault for whatever reason, but a drop should be "that was a ball that at that time and in that position, you should definitely be able to catch and you had your hands on it but let it go". if it hits a guy in the fingers I dunno that you can expect them to catch that every time, and if they do then it's a great play. maybe some of the elite guys should make them more often than not, but not every receiver.
