I don't think what you are describing is exclusive to this thread though. Fans at all levels are getting if results don't go their way. It's fickle at times. However, it's not out of the question that the complaints of a lot of people are based on long-term concerns. When you see people complain despite a seemingly positive situation, do know that these people expect things to go bad eventually, as in not becoming champions. It also doesn't help when you get bantered off by rival fans and the media for missing out on exactly that.

Trying is never enough though. Of course, it doesn't work all the time, but is a league title once in a while really too much to ask? You also set yourself up for criticism when you don't buy a single outfield player, whilst everybody, including rivals, is well aware you have a squad filled with injury-prone players. And this idea that Arsenal plays attractive football, it's not nearly as attractive as it used to be. Can't even remember the last time where Arsenal completely decimated a team and won by 6, 7 goals. The first half of Arsenal-Man U was something, but the attractive stuff comes in moments and flashes nowadays, instead of over a full 90 minutes like back in the day before the likes of Van Persie & Fabregas left.
I also don't see the problem with people moaning over bought players when they don't do well. This is a high level, so everybody has high standards. Players should perform to high standards right? Then why not held the manager to such a high standard that a reasonably high amount of transfers end up working well?
The Özil-situation was created more by the media and rival fans on social media than amongst the Arsenal-fanbase itself. Özil for most of his Arsenal-career has been rated highly by the Arsenal-fanbase imo.
The thing is, in my own words of course, Arsenal want growth. Growth is also having a better shot at winning the title and/or eventually winning the title. And after so many years, people feel like it's too much of the same mistakes and issues and with that, people don't think we will see Arsenal undergo that kind of growth under Wenger. It's too safe now. You're on the verge of being eliminated in an absolute abysmal CL-group. Alexis Sanchez dropped out injured because he played in a game he was declared not being able to play in, because he said to Wenger he could play and Wenger didn't consider that maybe Sanchez was wrong. Bringing him on is not a problem, especially when you need to keep stuff quiet. On Saturday he helped get the 3rd goal and Wenger was assuming it could have been 2-1 and a draw. Chambers allows Rambo to go up more.
Which is a major problem. As there is no holding midfielder of quality. Flamini is a decent at best stand-in, but the problem today was Ramsey didn't help. He can't not help.
