Each puts more pressure in their eras. Shaq was able to dominate 1v1 post ups in part due to the rules. Back then you had to be close the man you're defending otherwise it was illegal defense. It's a lot easier to bring a double team in the post in the current era, which is part of the reason post play has declined overall. Shaq would still be a killer today obviously but it was be easier to get the ball out of his hands relative to 10-20 years ago.

Not necessarily. When Shaq played he could establish deep position at will because you couldn't bring extra defenders to his side of the court. It would be much harder to get Shaq the ball in the first place in today's. While that still opens up the game for other people Curry forcing a double on the perimeter is even more dangerous. Curry doesn't need someone else to get him the ball like Shaq does. Shaq 1v1 in deep position versus Shaq attracting more attention without the ball isn't as dangerous.

Shaq literally REQUIRES double and triple teams. All you need to slow down Curry is an elite defender (Kawhi Leonard) or a Good defender (Delly/T. Allen).
