How many of you wager on sport events?
I don't mean like betting €200 on your favorite team once every three months but rather betting as an investment.
I've talked alot to Swedish betters/bettors (?) since we have a fairly big internet site but havent really came into contact with foreign bettors. Im just curious in general!

No. Id say that NHL is the league most people have an edge on in our community.
Almost every single spreadsheet I see with NFL/NBA is break even or red, alot of green numbers in NHL sheets.
Id say I have a small edge on NHL. I've played through seasons with ~103-108 % ROI after placing a few hundred bets each season.

Yes saw that one but it was mostly shitposting and memes. Wanted a bit more serious thread.

Money is where there is value, regardless of sport. But its obviously larger in small leagues because its easier to get an advantage through information. But since u often cant bet more than pennies on small leagues ull have to stick with the major ones
Value on huge leagues isnt that big because the information is available to everyone, but its obviously more than possible to go + on premier league, NFL, La Liga, NHL, MLB etc

You aren't going to get a more serious conversation because there is nothing to talk about. They post tips. Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. They post their bets and again, sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. There isn't much to gambling. Just know your limits, dont chase your losses and you will enjoy yourself. It makes games fun, but there aren't secrets or discussion to be had unless the fix is in. Which it never is really.

I wasnt interested in secrets, i didnt need betting tips
Just curious on the betting life abroad, which bookies are available? Taxes? Which sports do u prefer? Ur betting career etc
Im trying myself now to get a bit more serious by increasing the stakes. Even if I've beaten NHL every season for the last 4 I've placed small wagers so hacent made much $.
Used to bet 300 SEK (~€34) per bet and im now at 1000 SEK per bet (~€110) but my goal is to be able to place 3000-5000 SEK bets.
Usually bet on 50-75 % of the NHL games each night.

bookies? check the op. Taxes? depends on country. Sports? Most people bet on soccer. People love the smaller soccer leagues for some reason. I find soccer is the thing most bet on here. Bit of B-Ball and Am Football. I enjoy College games. People also throw their money away on female soccer.
