Holy shit this isn't even photoshopped

do they even buy Chevy in Europe? I know Ford is the most popular car in Europe but Ive been over there to a few countries and never seen a Chevy.

General Motors sells other cars there but they don't really market the Chevy brand outside of North America.

Most people forget that General Motors owns like 10 different lines of automobiles, including Chevy. They say Buicks' are selling great in China, for example.

Arsenals stadium is even called 'The Emirates Stadium'

It doesn't sound as bad as other company owned places like say The Red Bull stadium, but its still annoying to me that sponsors feel the need to flat out take over the entire stadium

Pretty much all stadium names are sponsored here. The oddest has to be the Stockhorn Arena in Thun, which is sponsored by the local cable car company, which is in turn named after the mountain.

It's called a shirt sponsor, and, unlike Americans who only watch the superb owl to see their favourite commercials, we barely pay attention to them.
>>
>>63877202
someone should tell the thousands of companies that spend billions on sponsorship deals then. they are really throwing money down a pit!
>>
Chevrolet got the shirt rights to Man U because so many Americans (and I'm guessing where ever Chevrolets are sold) watch Man U play. It's a straight forward idea.

If you go down the football pyramid you find teams whose sponsors are local companies, Sheffield United for example (COYB).
>>
>>63877202
Its more the foreign fans that pay attention to the sponsor. They want to grasp at anything to prove they're a >LOYUL FAN so they buy from whichever company has their logo on the teams shirt.
>>
>>63877245
They';re not nearly as blatant and annoying as "this touchdown was brought to you by gatorade". Commentators advertising shit during a game is fucking disgusting.

Lovely innit?

The reason they opted to do this is because they changed the kit manufacturer from macron, which payed 1m quid a a year,to kappa, which pays them 15m quid a year, the 4th biggest amount in england (nike pays man city 8 m for comparison)
the shirt sponsor, enterprise insurance payed 800k so they though they'd rather have a better kit and make that money by increased sales due to marketing and no sponsor

How? We don't even like American cars, the most popular companies here are Toyota and Hyundai.
>>
>>63883173
Like I said before, European Ford isn't the same beast. Ford used to have a really good reputation what with their partnership with Cosworth. Nowadays though I'd say they have a reputation for being generally good all-rounders with cheap parts. It's certainly one of the better manufacturers, regardless.
>>
>>63883087
>>63883545

I wonder why Ford does fine in the UK but not in other countries? Is is just our respective population's weird interest in each other's cultures, like how we go nuts when one of your royals pops out a kid and you guys all wear jeans and listen to rock and roll?

Only Americans trust Asian cars, even when some of them are quite good they still can't penetrate the market
>>
>>63883990
Just a different market, with different requirements and needs from a car. Americans generally drive their cars far more than we need to, longer distances to and from work and not so much dependence on public transport.

Japanese brands here are generally not as respected and I don't see so many of them. Hyundai is a bit of a joke. I'm not saying they're bad cars or anything, just the perception.

European ford market is probably better than the USA's

decent reliability, good value for money, great dd city/family cars

ford galaxy is the most spacious 7 seater without being oversized, perfect for narrow uk roads, focuses get you from point a to b, moms and chavs love them

ford mondeo is halfway between a focus and galaxy, I think thats the EU's equivalent of the taurus? idk also a good car for small families

lol, the American Ford market is "PICKUP TRUCKS. WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING A NEW FORD PICKUP TRUCK, YOU PUSSY." Maybe if they tried to market them more like the European Ford models they'd have more success.
>>

F150 has been best-selling truck forever. Their dumb shit works.

Yeah that's true. As a European, I never understood the appeal of pickup trucks. The F150 doesn't have a fucking boot. NO B O O T.

Who in their right mind would transport anything around in an open exposed truck bed?

Pic related, the car my parents own. It's a 7 seater with enough room to go on holiday and stuff bags under seats and still have enough room to stretch your legs, it's quiet, comfortable, and can do something like 500 or 600 miles on one tank.

Literally superior in every way to the F150 unless you want to transport bricks, heavy duty hardware, or dead bodies.
>>
>>63888264
And on top of that it only cost like £17 or 18k with 6000 miles on it, in perfect condition since it belonged to the wife of a Ford salesman or some shit.

That's of course reasonable, but I don't understand why so many americans seem to DD pickup trucks. I know your roads are wider, but is the fuel really so much cheaper that you can afford to haul around 5k lbs of metal on wheels that gets 15mpg? Is it just for show? It's so impractical from my point of view.
