Yes. Same goes for Wilshere imo, but then you have to ask why we aren't developing players and making sure they have that winning mentality? Is this not Wenger/his coaching set-up's fault?

Obviously it's not that easy, but it's still a problem.

I don't care about anything that's happened so far this season all that matters is that he's losing a match! Every time a manager loses a match he should be SACKED! Pellegrini is an absolute DISGRACE to football! PELLIGRINI OUT!!!!!!

It's such a disgrace because these proven players are currently having a standard bad performance which all good teams aside from the Invincibles do, and there is an injury crisis at the club, which means that he is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. SACK HIM SACK THE BOARD SACK THE PLAYERS SELL EVERY PLAYER THEY'RE ALL SHIT WE SHOULD'VE SACKED HIM AFTER THE WEST HAM RESULT WHO CARES IF WE'VE BEEN CHALLENGING AT THE TOP OF THE TABLE PELLEGRINI IS SHIT SACK HIM SACK HIM SACK HIM WE ARE A DISGRACE AS A CLUB AND WE DESERVE BETTER THAN A TITLE CHALLENGE

Even a 2-2 draw wouldn't have been so bad
but now, no.

We have the easiest run of fixtures we'll get pretty much all season, no top half teams until City at home. Could have used this chance to go and pull ahead of everyone, instead Arsenal fall at the first hurdle.

It's quite obvious Wenger sees coaching qualities in Arteta. I'm assuming he's a good person to have around training.

Similar to Kelvin Davis. He's Southampton's captain but he never actually plays because he's fucking shit.

Pretty good.
Alas, he seems tired or something as of late. Heard he made some serious mistakes in today's game.

>>63701991
The problem is deeper than that and I believe that a simple change of a manager without a change in the general approach to how the team is run and what kind of goals are set, won't do the trick.
Besides, who on his spot? Serious question here laddie, who for Wonga? Just look what happened to United.

Arsenal started decent, Coq got injured, some kinda knee injury, Wenger called it 'worse than Arteta's calf injury' who went off like 10 min (again kek) after coming on and managed to be at fault for both goals that West Brom scored.
Arsenal had tons of chances and a penalty, should have easily won at least 3 or 4-2 but of course managed to fail to convert those chances in the most hilarious of ways.

Arsenal fans never say that, shitposter-kun. We're the opposite, you've never been in this thread before, have you?

As for coming close. 13/14 season we were 1st for 70% of the season, then imploded in the final 4 months.

14/15 season we came 3rd, which was progress.

Unfortuntely, everybody in this thread new that injuries would fuck us and that has happened. The season can be saved with an FA Cup win again, but it's unlikely to happen without a Bellerin inspired resurgence by Chambers or Beliek at DM.
>>
>>63709647

Arsenal have fucked up every time they could make a difference.

Leicester has a higher chance of winning the EPL than Arsenal.

It's over man. Coq is out for months. Sanchez wasn't rested, when he should have been. Arteta and Flamini are crap. Beliek is too young. Chambers should be played ala Barsei/Desailly, he's the best option we have.

It's over, just accept it now. I'm not WOB, it's just injuries once against, WBA always do this to Arsenal and it was a colossal fuck up. The loss isn't as bad as the injuries.

Liverpool and Leicester and United need to fuck up somewhere, but on this form they won't.

It's over bros... the dream is over.

I literally slammed my keyboard on the floor when I read the result. In fact, I had stayed away from BBC to watch the game on MOTD. After the first goal, GOAT ball by Ozil AGAIN, I went to check the score going "Wow, how many will it be? I hope it's enough to get a good GD" and there it was, 2:1.... Then the information that Arteta suffered an injury, but more importantly, Gibbs. I thought Sanchez was being rested.

Arsenal plummet to 4th and when the 13/14 season was the most close run season I've seen in decades, this one looks even more close. Especially with Leicester top. Liverpool suddenly being good. Man United lucking wins and even Chelsea are climbing the table again.

While Arsenal just suffer injuries after injuries and perform like shit constantly.

It's over bros. I've signed off from this season. Tet and Jewmaican and that Austrianbro are right, Wenger out.

>How is it Wenger's fault that Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ox, and Welbz are injured all the time

Protip: dont sign people who tend to be injured all the time. And dont come with stupid bullshit excuses. Arsenal EVERY SINGLE FUCKING YEAR is full of injuries. Having good medical staff and good physio trainers is a manager responsibility too.
>>
>PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 34, is interested in moving to the Premier League, with Arsenal his club of choice.

DO IT. DO IT. DO IT.

I see no negatives to this signing if he signed in January.

Fuck off, WOB. A player getting injured isn't the managers fault. Arteta and Coq this weekend was nothing to do with Wenger, unless you count playing them as his fault. WBA have always done this to Arsenal.

Anyway, just accept it's over, they're 2 points behind a team with no CL commitments, even if Arsenal go out of it, which they will. Arsenal don't have the backup and they're going to slide down once again.

BBC put it pretty clear "It's the hope that hurts"
>>
West Ham need to do Arsenal a favour. So many teams in contention for Top 4 this season again. It's 13/14, except with Leicester instead of Chelsea.

With Spurs and Liverpool also knocking at the door, and West Ham too. So a draw or a loss lads? I'd say win for West Ham, cause I don't expect them to keep it up, but Spurs could with Harry Meme.

It's now about giving Arsenal all your power for CL games and for them to stay in Top 3, cause Top 4 won't do, though it's likely we'll keep it even if Arsenal go out of CL.
>>
>>63722552
So you still want Wenger here even though you believe we won't win the league for another year and it was caused by Wenger bugling the transfer window!?

What the fuck is wrong with you people, how can you still want Wenger to be in charge of Arsenal if he can't push us forward!? Are you seriously content with getting 4th every year?
>>

A decade.
>>
>>63723199
While I can recognize the Wenger's fault in all this, sacking him just like that would be not fucking fair. I mean, he did some magnificent work under a tight budget for years, decades.
The thing is, Arsenal needs a change in perception. The board and the manager have to start thinking like "big clubs" do.
Injuries happen, but you need to have backups, replacements. The team is playing a game every 3-4 days, you can't do this with a short bench because they players will be done for halfway thru the season (like it's happening every goddamn season).
I _hope_ this season will open some eyes, make some people reconsider, realize "our old shtick ain't doing the trick anymore".
And I don't care about Messi or Ibra joining, because what Arsenal needs is not a single BIG NAMEâ„¢ signing, >we need a few solid players, that can take over when the usual ones (inevitably) get tired/injured/whatever. The club needs to stay on level throughout the season.

If nothing like this happens, nothing changes, then it's not Wonga out, it's the whole fucking board, manager and his aids and everyone involved out.

He's essentially a slightly better version of Bilic at Wet Spam atm.

That being said they do look really promising so far, but I can see them tiring out by the end of the season.

Dortmund completely burnt out in Klopp's last few seasons, and the Bundesliga has a winter break.

Liverpool do have a large squad which will probably help with burnout

Nah he's right, Liverpool had a great side potentially under Brenda but he was too inexperienced, and he never won over the players, Klopp has won their hearts and mind's and is getting them to play pressing attacking play, with them two brazilians playing like they did yesterday is a bonus, if they continue that style of play they will tear teams apart, i wish so much that Klopp came to us and had installed this in our side.

Bielik would need to have a Coq-esque presence in the side and that probably wouldn't work because he's really inexperienced. I reckon we should at least try to ease him in against smaller sides and see how he does. He looks decent.
>>
>>63725444
Arsenal's starting eleven are better than Liverpool's from top to bottom. The problem are injuries and the manager. Klopp might be a meme too but at least he would bring something new to an even better squad than Liverpool.
>>
>>63725479

But wtf is even causing the injuries? We just hired a top notch physio team last summer. Is it some meme training Wenger insists on doing? Or does he simply ignore injury proneness when he signs a player?
>>
>>63725540
well Alexis, Welbeck, Debuchy never had injury troubles before Arsenal
>>

There's quite clearly a problem within the club.

No it was butthurt Liverpool fans.

As soon as Sterling decided he wanted to leave, the Liverpool fans started ranting about how he was a "moneywhore" and how he was shit anyway even though he was their best player.

Speaking of which, the City move was so obvious for him as well. Look how good he was towards the end of their brilliant season a couple years ago when he fully fit into regular Premier League football. Him, Sturridge, and Suarez were scoring for fun and he was thriving with the fast paced attacking football they were playing. I don't know why people shat on him for it. It was hardly about money, he could've gotten big wages at Liverpool.

Why would he turn down the chance to play with Aguero, Silva, Yaya, etc?

They're young and inexperienced they will flop hard later on in the season just like every other year.

Their home support is miles better than ours though. Emirates is a library 95% of the time. Need to do something about it because it's a fucking disgrace. Away fans are great though.

Sakho is a nailed-on defender for the French NT. Rooney starts comfortably ahead of Vardy for the English NT.

Sakho is a good defender though.

Besides, Coquelin is the starting DM for Arsenal. France likes Arsenal the last time I checked and French players rated at Arsenal are in general rated enough in France to get a call up. Coquelin doesn't even get a call-up. Either Deschamps is a complete idiot or there are elements to Coquelin's game that makes him very suitable to Arsenal and simply not as suitable for teams like the France NT, who'd want all of their players to contribute in attack.

Then again, Moussa Sissoko keeps getting picked for France, so maybe Deschamps is a lunatic, I don't know.

Liverpool also won one without spending billions, its all about the manager
>>
>>63732166
the squad is good enough to win the league, especially with everyone shitting the bed and the only reason Arsenal aren't competing is that they are missing consistency and a proper way to prevent injuries. Something every other club somehow seems to manage (except for Newcastle.)
>>
Palace will be 6th by the end of tomorrow, 22 pts behind Spurs. All it takes it two bad results to fuck up the season
>>
>>63732225
1. If Wenger was changed, then that totally means whatever money is spent, since Wenger doesn't spend, will result in success! He totally can spend billions on new players whomever replaces him!

2. Managers are chopped and changed all the time at other clubs, but because vast amounts have already been spent on good players, success is easier to obtain because of the fact you can keep on buying. £250m every window? Please, that's nothing.

lack of DM depth hurts. but Arsenal have the choker dna, thats why we fail whenever theres a chance to go top

Anyone else semi-supporting Spurs this season?

I've given up on us ever doing something exciting and exciting has definitely been the best way to describe the Spuds season surprisingly

The rivalry has kind of died down to not much at this point and I just see it as another north london club doing well, can't hurt to support that as well as that they've got great English players playing for them

It's because an Eternal Tottenham Thread would be pathetically inactive. It's the same with those Liverpool Hype threads, they get about 6 posts - even after a win against Chelsea or City.

I'm fine with /arse/ being the place where all EPL fans go to chat about top top football.
>>
>>63736572
why not just shitpost in /epl/ ?
>>
>>63736364
It's not even a matter of whether Arsenal will be able to do it.

Spurs cannot do it.

I'm sorry, but look at that side. It's so young, so inexperienced. They're definitely talented, but this isn't the season. They'll crack very easily under pressure. Once they get a couple losses, they'll go on a losing streak. And their manager isn't exactly the most experienced either. Who's gonna lift them? Moussa Dembele? Okay.

And what about injuries. If Kane gets hurt, they're stuck with that French bloke. I mean maybe he'll do well but he's inexperienced and not ready.

Spurs have got a great plan, and will be successful in the future. Now is not the time, and I'm pretty sure everyone at the club knows that.

Obviously arsenal are a better team overall but sturridge, coutinho, henderson and probably sakho would all start in an arsenal side, whilst players like lucas, firmino, clyne and benteke would certainly be pushing for starting places.

Arsenal are a better side and should challenge for the league but liverpool aren't far off and definitely have enough quality to reach top 4 this season or next without major changes to the squad. So yeah pretty delusional to say arsenal are better in every position bar striker.
