What's the problem? Is a QB in a conservative run-first offense that gets off to early leads and sits on them behind a great defense supposed to have gaudy passing stats now? Sorry that the coaches don't like to take risks by being unnecessarily aggressive but the win-loss record speaks for itself.

First round QB is a guy that you should be able to trust when you put the game in his hands.

You're a fucking liar if you say you trust Teddy Bridgewater to lead a 2 minute drill.

If anything Bridgewater looks like Steve Young to me, only with a higher ceiling. It's funny how everyone ignores how good he actually is just because of the color of his skin, I bet if he was as white and christian as Carr he'd be in MVP talks right now.

I dunno why Viking fags and Raider fags are arguing over which of their QBs are better. They're both great and show tremendous promise, but they play in vastly different offenses. Of course their stats aren't going to look the same. Bortles should be up there too but he's too damn inconsistent right now.

>>
>>63632962

Bortles is like, exactly where everyone expected him to be at this point. He was AWFUL last year, and this year he's mediocre but he's serviceable. We all expected a Big Ben clone but with the comeback victories, the balls of steel, and the hard-on for wanting to go deep every play it looks like we're getting Brett Favre instead and I'm completely okay with that.

At the very least Bortles is a vast improvement over Gabbert and he's got a lot of potential if he can work on being more consistent. If Johnny Manziel can put it together then 2014 looks like one of the best QB classes ever.

It's been a long time since the Jaguars have had exciting air-it-out style football. Even Jimmy Smith's last few years didn't compare, and watching the team hand the ball off 400 times a year while passing for 100 yards a game was really boring, even if it did work

Height-weight ratios + qb bust history basically
1/3 qbs in the first round turn out to be good
1/2 will play and be starters for 2 years atleast
1/4 will be probowl visitors

Google it if you want

Start with "1/4 of wrs in first round aren't bust"

Qbs have one of the highest bust rates in the draft. A big part is injuries.
So you have Carr who is 6'2 215 and bridge same basic sizes and their height to ratio sucks. At 6'2 you've got to be 225 basically or injuries pop up

how come ever since the patriots won back to back in 03/04, the super bowl winner every year doesn't win a playoff game the following season? the first exception was last year's seahawks, but now it looks like the patriots are about to go back to back again

JFF was not that bad against the Steelers. 12 for 12 out of the pocket. had a couple decent scrambles.

The Browns need to stop signing short WRs. It's a really bad policy and they are a really bad team anyway.

Manziel needs to realize he's not at A&M anymore and throwing deep or rolling out and scrambling aren't gonna cut it. If the opponent is giving you dump passes up front, you gotta take them and live to play another down.
>>
The best scenario:

To settle this Bridgewater argument: Vikings ranked 31st in ppg while the defense is ranked 2nd in opp ppg.

If the defense if off or has a bad day, they could be fucked. One of the offensive problems that was shown on Sunday was Bridgewater throwing conservatively. The thing is though, no one really got open.

3 receptions by WRs and 11 by TEs or outlet RBs. Either Norv needs a better passing scheme or Vikings just need better receivers. Raiders are ranked 31st in pass defense.

On Teddy:

He obviously passes the eye test. Whats concerning when watching games is the lack of passing offense for the Vikings.

The problem is two fold:

The Vikings Oline is giving up a crazy amount of pressure. They can run block but our rookie right tackle and front three are horrible pass blockers.

Teddy is holding the ball too long because none of the receivers are getting open

>Watch the All-22 of the Raiders game if you have access to it. They are blanketed non stop which is crazy for how bad the Raiders Pass defense is.

Diggs is good but the guy is not a blazer and not a guy who is going to go up and catch jump passes.

Wallace is poop.

I was much much more concerned than I am today after realizing this. He has been put in a position where he could easily be losing games. Instead he is prolonging drives and not forcing throws that could lead to mistakes if he can help it.

Speaking of Lawrence Phillips

>On April 12, 2015, Phillips' cellmate Damion Soward, the cousin of former USC Trojan and NFL wide receiver R. Jay Soward, was found dead in the cell the two men shared. Soward, who was serving a sentence of 82-to-life for a murder conviction, was choked to death, and Phillips was regarded as the prime suspect in the case.

>On September 1, 2015, Phillips was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Soward's death. On November 9, 2015, evidence emerged that Phillips was lying in wait to kill Soward, which prompted the Kern County district attorney to make Phillips eligible for the death penalty.

>Lions up 12-10 late in the 4th

>miss the extra point (2nd one in that game) so it remains an 8 point game
>Packers drive down the field
>score a TD with 0:30 remaining
>miss the 2 point conversion
>Packers go for an onside kick
>ball goes straight through Megatron's hands
>Packers recover at the 50
>Packers get to DET 37
>Packers try a 52 yard FG to win it
>Packers holder blocks the attempt
>Lions win

If the Vikings offensive line is so terrible and is the leading excuse to why Bridgewater looks terrible, why is it that the Vikings have the leading rusher in the country behind that same offensive line?

And if the Raider's offensive line is so amazing and is blamed as the reason Carr is doing so well, how come their rushing offense is just barely in the top 20?

Guys whats going on? I met some girl who said I was cute and she asked me to go to her house. I said ok and went to her house. When I got there she gave me cookies and told me to go up to the bedroom. I didn't know why she was asking me that but I did. She told me to lay down on the bed, which was weird because I didn't bring my pajamas. I laid down and she went into the bathroom. She came out and had no clothes on. I asked what was going on and that she should cover up her lady-parts. Instead of covering up she climbed onto the bad and got over me. Her boobies hung just inches over my face, which was scary because I had never seen boobies before. She put her lady-parts on my crotch and started moving. I reached down and freaked out because my penis had gotten hard. i said we need to go to a doctor to check my penis out. But she said no and that she knew how to fix it. She unziped my fly and pulled my penis out. Some clear liquid leaked out and it scared me. I asked her how she going to make it go soft again and she grabbed my penis and put it INSIDE her. I started screaming and told her to stop but she started moving and made me feel weird. Her parts were very wet and I asked why she was peeing, but she only laughed. She kept moving and soon I felt like I had to pee. I told her to get off so I could go pee.She didn't listen and kept going. I warned her I was going to have and accident. Suddenly my penis squirted and it went soft. When she got off me I could see white stuff leaking from her lady-parts. I asked her what just happened and she only giggled. I felt kinda mad that she did this, but then again, she did fix my penis. What the fuck happened to me guys?

Pic related. the girl in question.

>my face when "people" actually think the team with the best defense and a top 10 offense in the NFL will miss the playoffs this season

>Alex Smith (objectively and statistically a top 15 QB, it isn't even debatable)
>Jamaal Charles (best RB in the game who will be 100% healthy, unlike the entirety of last year, he will put up 1,000+YDs/10+TDs/5.0+YPC,)
>Travis Kelce (a top 3 TE already and going into this season will be fully recovered from knee surgery 2 offseasons ago, 1000+YDs/7+TDs)
>James O'Shaughnessy (literally a Travis Kelce-clone)
>Jeremy Maclin (top 15 WR, 900+YDs/5+TDs)
>Chris Conley (a white guy trapped in a black's body, one of the smartest players in football, elite measurables, incredible upside)
>DAT (one of the fastest and most explosive players in football)
>Anthony Sherman (best blocking FB in NFL)

>Best pass rush in the NFL

Guess what Panthers? You're next. You're the 2nd biggest fraud in the nfl, you're going to be exposed soon, it's not a maybe, it's not a what if, it's 100% factual and set in stone. Every single prediction I've made this year has been correct, I'm from Texas the football Mecca, you don't have the football 6th sense I have, the Panthers are done for, I men's warehouse guarantee it.

It happens quick though.

Peyton was setting records 2 years ago. 39 TDs just last year.
>>
I don't think Sunday was Peyton's final game. If the Broncos make the playoffs, I get the feeling they'll let him play and THAT will probably be his final game.
>>
>>63645221
exactly.

I hate to keep using this comparison, but in that case Brady would be in John Elway's role after he beat the Falcons in the Owl. Elway was 38, as is Tom.
Elway called it quits on the best note possible; Brady would one-up him if 19-0 happens. It's a win-win situation for everyone.

This anon >>63645303
is also correct. He has been the single constant under Belichick's tenure, but Beli said after the Wilfork trade something to the effect of, "Business is business. I like the guy but you need to what's best for the team, and in that case we had to let him go." If Tom goes into camp next year and bombs out, he's done as the starter.

>Bill, if you're out there, if that day comes, please, for the love of god, turn your silver tongue on Brady and convince him to retire.

>>63645404
like that will ever happen in the free-agent era. Last team team to come close was the 2001-04 Pats, who had a SB hangover before repeating. The AFC may be weak right now, but it won't forever.

Mariota is an amazing player already, give him 4 years and it won't surprise me if he's an MVP

I mean the guy plays until the very end and plays damn good. It's a shame he doesn't have anyone to throw to except tight ends.

His only real problem I'd say are his short throws in coverage other than that he can sling it down the field and make those game winning drives.

Also Mularkey is a good coach, I hope the Titans keep him, so far he's been doing amazing game plans, it's unfortunate injuries have kept him from executing perfectly.

who's gonna be the next QB to try and take your pathetic remnant of a franchise to the bowl? goff? cook? cardale
your window was 2014, and you fucked it up
just gotta live with that
>>63646067
he was a defense babby early in his career and has only started being elite in the last couple of years
he'll get into the hall because muh stillers but he's not on brady or peyton's level

cowboys win
pats win

49ers win in upset

Romo already said he could have 5 more elite years behind this o line, I think a professional NFL QB knows better than some Pennsylvania mushroom farmer

I think the Bears are going to light up the Broncos

Jay is on fire and that team is playing well

I hope the Bears sneak into the playoffs

same thing

ok, that's a big plus

ok

>well-known for his toughness and skill at avoiding sacks
THAT is the biggest plus for him IMO.

With Peypey out, them beating the Broncos wouldn't be surprising.

Hell, even with Peyton in, I wouldn't be shocked.
>>
>>63646164
15-1 and a playoff win AS A FUCKING ROOKE is pretty damn good no matter your defense
>>
>>63646067
>shaking off giganiggas for 12 yrs, doesn't go down like a bitch.

Great trait man, I'd love to have my franchise QB play 8 games a year or just play injured all the time because he refuses to throw it away on busted plays and takes a big hit.

i'm sure the number one ranked defense in points and yards that year didn't help much
also he was terrible in the playoffs that year
>>
>>63646190
he was no better than Alex Smith.
The Pats went back-to-back 14-2, Owl win years in Tom's 3rd and 4th season as starter. Same deal. Brady was still in game-manager mode for the most part and was carried by the defense in those two Owl years.

Thank you. He gets credit for being tough but nobody ever points out that the dumb fucker brings most of those hits on himself.
>>
>>63646248
i didnt say that, but you don't go 15-1 unless both the offense and defense is clicking.

>>63646250
except that's completely wrong. He was in a bruce arians offense averaging almost 9 YPA. If you think that's game managing pls go

The only .500-plus team left on our schedule is the Failcons, and the Jags still play Tennessee twice, San Diego, the Texans and Colts. That's a MUCH easier schedule than either the Colts or Texans

It's so funny how the team is so often accused of not having fans until anon wants to be a dick and kick the team and its fans while they're down, and which point the fans exist, and despite being riticuled for liking a team without rings forever, is suddenly comprised of monsters deserving of being shit on week after week. If you want to do this than, just admit that you get off on bullying an easy target, but don't act like you're doing something righteous, because you're not. You're upset at fairweathers who own multiple jerseys, and wear whichever happens to belong to the team doing better this season. We real fans though now our team is trash, but we stand by them anyway, because we're loyal. I haven't said a bad thing to a fan of another team about their team all season because I don't have a beef with Loins fans, and the Bolts played shitty throughout that game and every one after than, and only a retard talks like his team is hot shit when it is just shit. Then there is the plain and simple fact that our teams owner and his faggot special council has been bashing us all year, and vowing that they prefer the city that has shit on us and them for decades over us, and even after that, when our team is complete shit this season, you guys get you rocks off shitting on us and our team, and our heartbreaking situation in weekly threads that exist purely as metaphorical middle fingers to us, as though we've ever done anything to deserve such recompence. What the fuck is wrong with all of you? I thought this was /sp/ not /b/. Shit, I even cheered for the Raiders to win yesterday because I think Carr is hot shit, and is gonna be great for you guys, and despite that, and despite the fact that any Charger fan worth his salt is bracing for a 2-14 season, not because these threads curse the team, but because Dean Spanos is a fuck nut of an owner who allows unqualified hacks to build and coach his team, this thread continues being posted. I just don't get it.

If anyone choked in the Gnats game it was the Pats secondary.
>>
>>63646469
He's a checkdown guy now, anyone arguing otherwise is delusional. He has a great cast around him that hides his weaknesses from normal plebs. If he were to play a team that does good coverage he'd get exposed.
>>
>>63646440
Everyone knows Gronk is a sub 80 IQ retard, that's part of his appeal I think.
>>
>>63646359
Im indifferent on him at the moment, I just want someone who can help Mariota develop into a franchise quarterback.
>>
Manziel is the GOAT
>>
>>63646500
I think he can do that, the amount of schemes he runs for a young qb is amazing. His plays with tight ends are really a big help for Mariota in learning how to do short passes

Great argument. So Brady didn't literally throw a ball that any fuckboy worth his pay should have been able to pick off? Lets not forget the OBJ TD pass that was called off.

Good, learn what it feels like you fucking faggot. You've been having the refs rob everyone for the last decade, it is only fitting you feel some of it yourself.

>what is the 2013 Kuechly DPI on Gronk non-call in the end zone
>what is the 2013 "illegal pushing" that let the Jets hit the GW FG after their previous attempt was blocked

We've been refballed a fair few times, asswipe, and those are just two game-losing examples from one year. The refs have never been deliberately on our side either.

>If not for those refballs the half-broken 2013 team would have won more games than the SB winners from the next year
