I think Italy and Germany were the most impressive. They played well and didn't rely on a single element of their game.
Italy's 2006 run seems the most impressive to me overall though. Nesta went down right away and Materazzi stepped up like a boss. Fullback was a complete unknown and then Zambrotta and Grosso were amazing. The only goal they allowed in open play the entire tournament was an own goal. Pretty much everybody scored a goal, Toni and Materazzi were the only ones with more than a single goal I believe.
