Yeah.. Problem is, in sports, there is more of a "you're as good as your last game" kind of mentality. For Hulkenberg, it means that this season isn't a good look for him. Perez also has 2 podiums and a fastest lap compared to Hulk's 0 in the time they've been teammates.
He's like this generation's Fisichella, who was talented in midfield cars, but never got the big move people had hoped for, until it was too late and he already started regressing. I wouldn't be surprised if Hulk ended up ditching F1 for Le Mans in the next two years.

Point is Hulkenberg isn't impressive enough against Perez, therefore I'm making the guess that he's most likely not going to get a spot at a topteam.
Him outpacing Perez in most of the races in the last two seasons sounds like a stretch that I'm not willing to check back on. Outqualifying Perez isn't doing much either. Rosberg outqualified Hamilton last season for example.
By the way, it's not a Hulk vs. Perez-thing. Perez is out of contention for a top-team spot. Hulk maybe wasn't. But he's about to lose this season battle against a teammate that already has been tested and dumped by a topteam. He should be ahead of Perez points wise and performance wise in every season.
Part of the criticism is also how Hulk can be very consistent, but can't excel into securing a big result like Perez does at times. This is someone who is described as a future World Champion. I've seen people at BBC suggest that he has lost that tag and I have to say I agree with that.

Mercedes engine OP 2bh/
Manor haven't done any development to their car since mid 2014 so their 2016 car will be a massive jump in performance. Williams' suspension is pretty good and since they're designing the FW38 with mechanical grip in mind, this will be an absolutely massive help as Manor have always had worse grip than Caterham and sometimes HRT too.
I doubt they'll be scoring points often if at all but Sauber will once again be nowhere since their aero team is shite, they don't have any money and they're stuck testing Ferrari development engines.
Haas will have a strategy team and pit crew with zero experience and doubtful will have the same engines as works Ferrari and more importantly will have a Dallara-assisted chassis. They do have a much better approach to their rookie year than any team since Jordan, but with their team being spread out across three countries their trackside operations will be very, very weak.
Of course with Bell, Booth and Lowden leaving it will be a big blow to the team but Dave Ryan knows what he's doing, if McLaren didn't make him take the fall for #2 Senna they probably would still be winning races.
