Except the majority of state flags are so fucking awful that you wouldn't be able to recognize them. Oh, a blue background with some figures standing by a seal or crest? There's no way non-Americans would support this either. Then you'd have everyone wanting flags for Australian states and Canadian territories and shit.
England/Wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland would be fine by me though
