Hall of Famer?
>>
>>63465215
No.
Being average/good for a very long time doesn't get you in the hall of fame.
>>
He reminds me of Curtis Martin, very good back, just doesn't get the praise he deserves...and wont win anything.
>>
>>63466748
He has consistently led the league in yards from scrimmage since coming into the league
>>
Probly
>>
Ray Rice is getting in before this nigga
>>
>2 pro bowls

probs not 2bh
>>
>>63466748
> Curtis Martin
> Jerome Bettis
Orly?
>>
>>63471537
Curtis Martin is in the Hall of Fame though
>>
>>63471537
>Curtis Martin, very good back, just doesn't get the praise he deserves
Nah, Martin was grossly overrated his whole career. Dude inly had one season that was anything even kind of special and it was at the ass-end of his career.
>>
>>63465215
Certainly deserves it. Likely one of the best all around backs. Unfortunately very underrated for whatever reason. Would be tough, but possible. He's started to get more praise recently.
>>
>>63471723
Curtis Martin has 7000 more rushing yards and won a rushing title.

Forte could still make it, he'd just have to keep playing at his current level for at least another 5 years. He's already 29, and should be slowing down soon. He's much more dependent on speed than Bettis and Martin.

I think there's a element of fairness in the hall of fame, they try to include guys from each position a bit. Right now it's every 3 years they let in a RB. Peterson, Gore, Lynch and Jackson could all be contending for that spot.
>>
>career rushing yards
41st
>career yards from scrimmage
55th
>career rushing touchdowns
93rd
>total career touchdowns
157th
>pro bowls
2
>rushing titles
0

so no. not unless he blows up over the next 3 seasons.

Not with 43 TD's.

Is pic related a Hall of Famer?
>>
>>63471821
How many receiving yards did Martin have?
We aren't just limiting this to rush, we are talking all around back here.
>>
>>63471765
because his teams have been shit his entire career baring a couple of outlying years. if the bears were consistently in the playoffs during his career he'd get tons of recognition just by exposure alone.
>>
Sadly no. Mostly because he's been on a shit team his whole career.
>>
>>63471867
His numbers don't warrant entrance. You're insane if you think otherwise. He's in the hall of really good.

Hall of Famer?
>>
>>63471882
>lead the league in yards from scrimmage every year
>good
>>
>>63471897
nope.

4 good years+1 ridiculous year=/=hof.

if he'd pulled out comeback player of the year in 07 or 08 maybe, but his dropoff was too dramatic.
>>
>>63471845
yes
>>
>>63471897
Terrel Owens? I think so.
>>
>>63471920
>lead

top 10, cuz

2008 NFL 1715 (3)
2010 NFL 1616 (10)
2011 NFL 1487 (10)
2013 NFL 1933 (3)
2014 NFL 1846 (3)
2015 NFL 767 (8)
>>
>>63471959
That's Curt Warner you dip.
>>
>>63471850
3300
Forte right now has 3700

Kind of are limiting this to the rush, because the HOF does. Faulk is the only guy in with significat receiving yards, but he also rushed for 12000 and won a superbowl.

Forte has to almost double all of his stats to get in. The guy is 29, and probably going to start slowing down.
>>
>>63471920
Fantasy Football HoF for sure.
>>
>>63471942
And somehow Gale Sayers is in the hall. Stupid honor.
>>
>>63471845
needs 3000 more yards and/or 17 more tds to be a lock
>>
>>63465215
maybe after the burrs win the owl. otherwise, no way in hell
>>
>>63472003
so two good years or 4 average years
>>
Jeremy Langford had a standard Forte type game in the first start of his career tonight

So idk
>>
>>63471994
>comparing players 50 years apart

>>63472010
by no means guaranteed at his age. he's going to be lucky to break 800/5 this season
>>
>>63472060
>>comparing players 50 years apart

You mean comparing a passing era to a rushing era?
>>
>>63472081
Probably more like comparing a surgery era to a early retirement era.
>>
Are
>Roethlisberger
>Megatron
>Darelle Revis
>Larry Fitz

HoFers?
>>
hall of very good
he's been carrying my fantasy team for like 5 years but he's been consistently just above-average for a long time, not elite
>>63472111
yes probably
a lock
less of a lock but still going in
biggest if, but he could do it if they make one last playoff run and he's instrumental or something
>>
>>63472081
year yards rank
1965 NFL 867 (2)
1966 NFL 1231 (1)
1967 NFL 880 (3)
1968 NFL 856 (5)
1969 NFL 1032 (1)

plus
>muh sweetness
is a lot more iconic than
>that dude who lost his td record to tomlinson the very next year
>>
>>63472111
Leaning yes, another Owl and he's a lock.
No, but plenty of time to make it.
Absolutely, if he keeps it up a couple more years.
Leaning yes, but the last few seasons have dropped his stock a little.
>>
>>63472151
>sweetness
Uh, that's Payton dude.
>>
>>63472160
goddamit wrong bear. now i feel like an ass.

either way, the only thing alexander has going for him is 100 tds. which is a big thing. but he has no spark.
>>
>>63472151
sweetness was payton bruh
but yeah sayers is much more integral to NFL history than alexander
one was just a really good participant of the weird uber rushing era of the early 2000s where teams just 1-upped each other with those little stretches of dominant running games
the other scored 6 TDs in a game, had the most touchdowns in a rookie season ever, has the highest kickoff return average ever, averaged 5.0 yards per carry, and had 8 kickoff return TDs in 7 years
see the difference?
>>
Fitz will be stuck in a log jam with Steve Smith, Andre Johnson, Anquan Boldin all waiting for Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss, Tory Holt, Isaac Bruce, Terrell Owens and maybe Hines Ward to get in.

It's a long wait for a WR to get in. Tim Brown, Andre Rison and Cris Carter all took around 10 years to get in. Jerry Rice was the first first ballot since Steve Largent.
>>
>>63472111
Ben needs more rings bradshaw shadows him.
Hes elite but being on a 0-16 team tells me no
Maybe
Needs a ring
>>
>>63472327
>being on a 0-16 team tells me no
That should have absolutely no bearing on his HoF status.
>>
Sayers completely changed the RB position. Only reason he didn't rewrite the record books is injury.

>>63472278
I would put Fitz ahead of Anquan Boldin, Reggie Wayne, Torry Holt, TO and Hines Ward by a wide margin. He'll get in quickly.

>>63472111
>the rape shit will hurt him, but he should be
>yes
>yes
>yes

The Pro Football HoF is not like baseball. Plenty of literally who's get in all the time.
>>
>>63472111
Yes to all of them. In order, it will be Ben, Revis, Johnson, Fitz.
>>
>>63472581
>TO

yeah, he was a fucking asshat, so the hof committee will punish him by not making him a first ballot (same with moss) but #2 yards and #3 tds is getting in before fitz.
>>
>>63472506
lol, calvin johnson is incredibly overrated.
>>
If you have to look at their stats to even CONSIDER their Hall of Fame status then they don't deserve it, that's my honest opinion. It's Hall of Fame, not Hall of Facts.
>>
>>63472826
>that's my honest opinion

thedude.jpg
>>
Should this guy be in the hall of fame? I know
>kicker
but there is one other kicker in the HoF who was no where near Hanson's level.

#3 All time scorer in NFL history

Most consecutive field goals of 40 or more yards (total) – 24 (2007–2009)

Became the second player in league history (after Jason Elam) to score 200+ points against 3 different teams (division rivals Packers, Bears, and Vikings).

Most career games with one NFL team (327 as of December 31, 2012).
Most career seasons with one NFL team.

On December 18, 2011, became the first player in NFL history to score 2,000 points with one franchise.

>>
>>63473457
Yes, another in the long line of best of all time in their position the Lions fucked up, currently going we have Calvin and i guess Suh.
>>
>>63473500
>forgetting Barry
>>
>>63473457
Definitely. Vinatieri and Gostkowski should join him.
>>
>>63473511
He's a given in the conversation, didn't even think it needed to be stated
