I strongly doubt that the original black-white colours of the Cisleithanian NT (which the Austrian NT developed out of) were inspired by the Prussian flag, since the team back when it was established also drafted many Czech players. It was probably done for practicality’s sake.
But all of that shit doesn't matter, the Austrian kit has been black-white since more than a century now, and I strongly feel that those are the colours that the players should be wearing for their first EM that they properly qualified for, instead of that plastic red-white garbage that makes >us look like Switzerland.

That wouldn't even be that much of a problem with red-white if Puma didn't rehash the same kit each year. There is enough to differentiate two kits even if they have the same colour combination but Puma stuff is simply bland and unimaginative.
