Sounds like you haven't been around these threads very often. LSU isn't really considered an elite program around here. Most people on /sp/ picked LSU to finish second to last in the SEC west before the season started. LSU has gotten very little respect since the disasterous ending to the 2011 season. Correction: it's all the state of Alabama has. The SEC is rooted in old south good ole boy corruption, and Alabama is at the heart of it. Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and Louisiana all have professional sports franchises. Logic would have it that Bama and Auburn have shitty ass programs like Ole Miss and Miss State do. But that's not the case. Bama literally invented cheating in football and they haven't stopped. The deck is stacked in their favor in a variety of ways. It's obvious when you play them.
