So guys, I was talking to this royals fan in KC the other day(I had to go there for a work related incident, I'm a Cardinals fan btw) so I check out a local sports bar and start talking to the local royals fans who were like 18 and 20. I asked them how they felt about the world series and they could only spout out "MOOSEEEE" and "WIZARD OF HOZZ" "Escy and Perez are so pro and likeable" so being the cardinals fan I was I decided to embarrass them and I brought up the 1926 world series. Asking how they felt about Babe Ruth trying to steal 2nd and ending the world series as well as their opinions on Les Bell's home run in game 6. They stood there with their mouths open dribbling some stuff about KC Clutch and how it was so cool Escobar got an inpark homerun to start the series off. What a bunch of hooligans who don't know anything about baseball. I ended up leaving the bar while they went on about Yost being the greatest manager in baseball.
I watched the royals for countless years be a joke of the league. Constant basement dwelling in the AL Central and pretty much being an entire embarassment. I felt imense sorrow for the fans in KC who had to put up with all this for so long. But then they shored up that farm system and sure enough turned it around. Ended a 29 year postseason drought last year and ended a 30 year world series drought this year in such dramatic fashion too.
There is nothing to be bitter about with the Royals finally winning. Couldn't have happened to a better team. Congratulations Royals. You all deserve it.

Honestly would trade d'Arnaud to an AL team so he can go between catching and DH. Offensively, he is a solid hitter with good pop. He handles the pitching staff well and hits really well for a C, but his defense and throwing are disgusting. Plawecki is far less a power threat, but he is much better defensively and handle the pitching staff well.

At 5 years you pretty much know what you will be. Very rare a player changes who they become 5 years in. Only players i can think of that transformed midway through their careers are Bautista, Dickey, and all the roids guys.

The White Sox in recent years has seen a transformation from being division contenders usually behind the twins, to a joke of baseball usually landing in the basement of the AL Central and staying there.
Throughout this time, attendance has dropped dismally to dead last ranks where even other teams fans out number our own. TV and radio ratings are also dead last.
What this means for me is however that I can hold my head up tall that I am one of the elite few who still followed along most every game all these season, spent the time during the game either on gamethreads here or SSS and listened to the games on 670 or tuned into Hawk on wgn whenever I could. I could make the effort to go to the park even when I was one of like the 10 people in my section.
This current display of bandwagoning not only in KC but other places is just so disgusting to me that I feel I need to speak out.
