Nah, competitive games went to shit. 10 years ago we had BW, C&C, TFT, CS, Quake, Painkiller, UT2k4, SF, Guilty Gear. Nowadays we have CS, a 15 year old rehash, Hearthstone, a dumped down MtG and two trashy MOBAs, one of which was played 8 years ago already.
Its bad, really fucking bad. The people who play competitive games on PC now dont give a shit about competition or improving as a player. They want instant gratification and be able to shift blame away from themselves. Literally the WoW BG audience, thats where most of the peons came from. They are like the fat kids in sports who always blamed their teams instead of their inability to make something happen.

What's sp's opinion about artificial turf? Why have so many teams switched over? I get that it's cheaper and easier, but the position of groundskeeper is a legendary part of the game. Tending the grass is an art form, akin to maintaining a zen garden. Are we witnessing the end of real grass?
