Yeah, you really get what you pay for. Because of the material used, most cheap ones aren't great for long term wear. Though you might find a cheaper CB clone easier to wear for a few days than a cheap metal one. As I said above, didn't find the metal ones comfortable at all.

Is it comfortable?
Ring should be secure enough to stop escape, but not enough to cause issues for circulation. And, to be honest, a lot of people use too large an A-Ring (because cheaper devices don't come with different rings).

The stocking method involves getting a pair of pantyhose or a stocking, and cutting off the "foot" end of it, making it about 8-12" in length.

Cheap ones are rarely going to be a good quality, but you can often find a few different styles for about $20 on Amazon/eBay.
Just look for one that you think would be most comfortable for you, and has the best size for you.
