How isn't there a Japan meetup thread? This IS 4chan, isn't it? God dammit. Post age, sex, prefecture, city, and what you're seeking. I'll start.

I am bumping this shit before bed.
Has Japan started pumping out clones? All these people look the same.

I've heard Japan is expensive to live in. Does this only apply to the big cities? How about the countryside?
On that note, do people in rural towns look more down upon obvious foreigners? I gave up on learning Japanese a while ago, but I'm willing to pick it up again if there's a reasonable chance of me making it there one day.

I'm not sure how it got that rep but Japan is actually quite inexpensive to live in, even in cities. Tokyo might be an exception but I've heard from natives it isn't. Then again Japanese salaries are quite low, so it's perspective.
As for the countryside, I've only visited but haven't experienced any discrimination while there. I think it's more a generational attitude difference than urbanization. Young people here are super friendly and welcoming. That said, I do live in Kansai.

Thanks for your reply. I'm quite shocked to hear that, since in documentaries and vlogs from foreigners-turned-citizens have all generally agreed that it is expensive to live in Japan. I suppose it does indeed depend on what job you have.
Anyway, a bump for the thread.
