Don't you know? That's for later tonight. haha What's up?
>>
Just downed a six pack of smirnoff ice (I don't care if it's a girl drink, it is like alcoholic soda) moving on to homemade strawberry wine.

Not much, can actually contribute today, paying homage to the Kypchak roots.

Turkish? Ah, nice to finally see ya finally drink something, hahaha. I assume it's vodka?
>>
>>23147089

Turkic, not Turkish, that's an important distinction. Nah, Rakı is kind of like Sambuca or Ouzo, really strong anise flavour, good burn and turns white when you add water.

Voss water

What's the difference? Haven't heard of turkic before.

Hm...interesting. Do you mainly drink it straight or only mix it with water?
>>
>>23147144

Turkish is modern, like, people form Turkey, Turkic is like people anywhere from Turkey to Kazakhstan, pretty much anything with -stan at the end or had Khans at some point are Turkic.

I'm not sure if I've ever met someone who drinks it straight, maybe people do.
>>
>>23147187

Hm...learn something new everyday.

I gotcha. How strong is it? From the way it tastes, I'm guessing something like....34%?
>>
>>23147204

Nah, I don't think I've ever seen Rakı under or over 45%, pretty much every brand is 45%.
>>
>>23147228

Damn, I was at least close. Ish. haha Sounds good, nonetheless.
>>
>>23147246

It is incredibly good, but it's a very social drink, most Turkic drinks are, but, most Turkic drinks are also disgusting, not that you'll probably ever get the chance, but if you ever go to Central Asia they have some crazy weird alcohols, I'm not sure how to call them in English but I drank like Qymyz and Shuubat when I was in Kyrgyzstan and I think it'd make you want to stick to beer.
>>
>>23147262

Hm...I'll be sure to be on the look out for anything of those sorts. Ha, Qymyz actually sounds familiar for some reason; might've seen it before somewhere.

I take it you live out in that general area of the world?
>>
>>23147287

Nah, my dad is from Kyrgyzstan so we visit relatives sometimes. And you won't find it outside Central Asia, Qymyz is horse's milk that you ferment into alcohol.
>>
>>23147486

Word, that's pretty awesome.

I must've confused Qymyz with something else. Though, that doesn't sound too pleasing to the tongue...
