When you first start out know who the bosses favor and get along with them. They will be promoted over the hard working people and the gossip people. If your in good with them they will pull you up the ladder with them.

If your starting your own thing long hours, hard work, and looking at rejection as a chance to improve yourself. Also, don't take advice from failures as more then a grain of salt as they will have plenty of advice. Take advice from the people who succeeded.
